Proverbs 11:1-23 Proverbs 1:8-9:18 The Proverbs of Solomon: Wisdom Speeches Proverbs 10:1-24:34 The Proverbs of Solomon: Wisdom Sayings Proverbs 11 The Instruction Concerning Integrity Proverbs 11:1-6 In Commerce (1) Scales of deception are an abomination to Yahweh, but a just weight is His delight. (2) When arrogance has come, then comes shame, but with the humble people is wisdom. (3) The integrity of upright people will guide them, but the crookedness of the ones being treacherous will destroy them. (4) Wealth does not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. (5) The righteousness of a person of integrity will make straight his way, but the wicked will fall in his own wickedness. (6) The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, but the ones being treacherous will be captured in their desire. Proverbs 11:7-15 In Community (7) In the death of an evil man his expectation will perish, and the hope of wealth will have been destroyed.

Proverbs 11:1-23 (8) A righteous person has been delivered from distress, but a wicked person will come instead of him. (9) The godless person will destroy his neighbor with his mouth, but the righteous people will be delivered in knowledge. (10) When the righteous people receive good things, a city rejoices; and when the wicked people are destroyed there is a shout of joy. (11) A town will be exalted in the blessing of upright people, but in the mouth of wicked people it will be destroyed. (12) The One who is despising his neighbor is lacking heart, but a man of understanding will keep silent. (13) A slanderer is going around revealing secrets, but one being faithful of spirit is concealing a matter. (14) Without guidance a people will fall, but deliverance is in the abundance of advisors. (15) With trouble he will have trouble because he has given security for a stranger, but the one hating striking of hands is secure. Proverbs 11:16-23 In Character (16) A woman of grace will attain honor, but powerful men will attain riches. (17) A faithful man does good to his own soul, but the cruel man is troubling his own flesh.

Proverbs 11:1-23 (18) A wicked person is making a deceitful wage, but the one sowing righteousness is making a truthful wage. (19) As righteousness leads to life, so the one pursuing evil leads to his death. (20) The ones being crooked of heart are an abomination to Yahweh, but His favor is upon the people with integrity of their way. (21) Surely, an evil person will not be go unpunished, but the seed of the righteous people will have escaped. (22) As a ring of gold in the nose of a pig, so is a beautiful woman, that is abandoning discretion. (23) The desire of righteous people leads only to good, the hope of wicked people only leads to wrath.

(16) A woman of grace will attain honor, כּ בוֹד ת ת מ ח ן א שׁ ת.טז gunh; eujcavristo" ejgeivrei ajndri; dovxan, qrovno" de; ajtimiva" gunh; misou'sa divkaia. but powerful men will attain riches. :ע שׁ ר-י ת מ כוּ ו ע ר י צ י ם plouvtou ojknhroi; ejndeei'" givnontai, oij de; ajndrei'oi ejreivdontai plouvtw/. (17) A faithful man does good to his own soul, ח ס ד א ישׁ נ פ שׁוֹ ג מ ל.יז th'/ yuch'/ aujtou' ajgaqo;n poiei' ajnh;r ejlehvmwn, but the cruel man is troubling his own flesh. :א כ ז ר י שׁ א ר וֹ ו ע כ ר ejxolluvei de; aujtou' sw'ma oj ajnelehvmwn. (18) A wicked person is making a deceitful wage,.יח ר שׁ ע ע שׂ ה שׁ ק ר-פ ע ל ת ajsebh;" poiei' e[rga a[dika, but the one sowing righteousness is making a truthful wage. :א מ ת שׂ כ ר צ ד ק ה ו ז ר ע spevrma de; dikaivwn misqo;" ajlhqeiva". (19) As righteousness leads to life, ל ח י ים צ ד ק ה-כּ ן.יט uijo;" divkaio" genna'tai eij" zwhvn, so the one pursuing evil leads to his death. ר ע ה וּ מ ר ד ף :ל מוֹתוֹ diwgmo;" de; ajsebou'" eij" qavnaton.

(20) The ones being crooked of heart י הו ה תוֹע ב ת.כ bdevlugma kurivw/ are an abomination to Yahweh, ל ב-ע ק שׁ י diestrammevnai ojdoiv, but His favor is upon the people with integrity of their way. : ד ר ת מ ימ י וּר צוֹנוֹ prosdektoi; de; aujtw'/ pavnte" a[mwmoi ejn tai'" ojdoi'" aujtw'n. (21) Surely, ל י ד י ד.כא ceiri; cei'ra" an evil person will not be go unpunished, י נ ק ה-ל א ר ע ejmbalw;n ajdivkw" oujk ajtimwvrhto" e[stai, but the seed of the righteous people will have escaped. :נ מ ל ט צ ד יק ים ו ז ר ע oj de; speivrwn dikaiosuvnhn lhvmyetai misqo;n pistovn. (22) As a ring of gold in the nose of a pig, ח ז יר בּ א ף ז ה ב נ ז ם.כב w{sper ejnwvtion ejn rjini; ujov", so is a beautiful woman, י פ ה א שׁ ה ou{tw" gunaiki; kakovfroni that is abandoning discretion. :ט ע ם ו ס ר ת kavllo".

(23) The desire of righteous people leads only to good,.כג ת א ו ת צ ד יק ים טוֹב-א ejpiqumiva dikaivwn pa'sa ajgaqhv, the hope of wicked people only leads to wrath. ת ק ו ת ר שׁ ע ים : ע ב ר ה ejlpi;" de; ajsebw'n ajpolei'tai.
