We are consistently amazed if not awestruck at the miracle of birth and consumed with questions when faced with the mystery of death and the dying process. Yet birth gives way to death at which time we are reborn into Eternal Life, the circle completed. These great mysteries take on new meaning as we celebrate the season of Easter. Followers of Jesus were consumed with questions, grief, and indeed doubts, not unlike any of us who experience the death of someone we love. However, this grief was transformed at the Resurrection into pure joy at the realization of love and Life fulfilled for each of us. We at Carmel Manor were privileged to have our priests to celebrate the Easter Triduum with us in our Chapel. Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday brought us through the Passion and death of Jesus to the glorious Alleluias of Easter Sunday. We were blessed with many visitors and families who joined us for the services. Easter Sunday Mass found us with many babies and young children in the Chapel which was a true blessing and reminder of the ALLELUIA!! NEW LIFE miracle of new birth, the beginning of the life cycle. It is through the eyes of children that what is complicated becomes clear and simple for they see with the heart. Let us open our hearts to the Easter message and the great love God has for each of us. May our faith be simple yet confident in this message of sacrifice, redemption and hope. On behalf of the Sisters, residents, and staff of Carmel Manor, we wish you a most blessed Easter Season. Alleluia!! Sister Diane Sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters, whose sole mission is to care for the aged and infirm. That mission informs everything we do: every policy we set, every staff person we hire, and every moment of every day. We offer two levels of care in our Ft. Thomas, Kentucky facility: personal care and skilled nursing care. In addition to meeting the physical, social, spiritual, and personal needs, our staff works to connect personally with each resident, and get to know their story.
