Food Bank Friendship and Fellowship Over the last five months we have supplied food to nearly 500 people. We have seen quite an increase and would like you to help us to continue this scheme to all those who come for help. Could you commit to buying something every week so we can be sure that we have food coming into the store? There are slips of paper in the foyer for you to take and keep in your wallet so that you remember each week. If you need any more information about the food bank please speak to Georgina Whateley.

Learning Encouraging Friendship and Fellowship We are a friendly group of ladies. We love welcoming new members (of any age!) and have seen growth in our numbers recently. Why don t you give us a try? We meet at 2pm on Thursdays in the Church Lounge. This term has been based on What I love and what the Lord has taught me through it. We had some great sessions in May and have continued these in June. We have celebrated the different gifts the Lord has given us, as well as laughing and being inspired by a variety of speakers. Come and join us at one of our meetings in July details below. July 6 th I love Mathematics Come and be amazed as Jeffrey Young shows us the patterns we can create with simple numbers. Children and Youth Starting on Tuesday 19th September 2017 5 consecutive weeks, each Tuesday 7.30pm 9.30pm, at Sutton Coldfield Baptist Church Cost 15 per person or 25 per couple parenting the same children. Includes workbook each and refreshments. (If cost is an issue please let us know, as we can help.) Session topics: Keeping the end in mind Meeting our teenagers needs Setting boundaries Developing emotional health Helping them make good choices This informative course is for parents, stepparents, grandparents and carers of pre-teens & teenagers aged 11-18 Parenting teenagers is harder than ever for most parents today! No role we undertake in life is more important than parenting. The most exciting and rewarding aspect of parenting is helping children develop character and a sense of worth, helping them work out who they are, and developing a strong and mutually enriching relationship with each child. Meeting our teenagers deepest needs, setting healthy boundaries, helping to develop their emotional health and teaching them how to make good choices takes skill and dedication. Taking time to reflect on our end goal can help us to build strong relationships with our teenagers. If you'd like more information about this course, or to book a place, please contact: Alan & Karen Cobbald mobile: 07855 862107 email: parenting.scbc@gmail.com ADVANCE BOOKING IS NECESSARY
