Welcome International Missionary and Christian Women s Auxiliary Region IV of the P.A.W., Inc. Greetings to the Precious Saints of the Most High! It is my pleasure to welcome the IMCWA Region IV delegates to the great state of Mississippi for the purpose of serving God in the demonstration of power. We are very much encouraged with the IMCWA mission to continue to spread the Word of God in this convention through outstanding teaching and inspiring messages. We are anticipating a great move of God, therefore the Mississippi and Western Tennessee District Council has prepared and is honored to host the IMCWA Region IV Convention. Greetings from Bishop George Austin Track 1 Track 2 Track 3 Friday ~ February 28, 2014 Spiritual Growth Educational Growth Financial Growth Youth Events Bishop George Austin was been called, ordained, and approved by the Holy Ghost to teach and preach the life changing power of the Word of God. In February of 1975, God placed him into the position of Co-Pastor of Pentecostal Faith Church (Faith Ministries) under the leadership of Pastor Rosa L. Mindingall. After her death in 1977, he transitioned to full pastorate. Now leading Faith Ministries into its divine purpose, the church in Tuskegee, AL has purchased additional land and has built a beautiful 6,000 square feet multi-purpose facility. In addition to Bishop Austin s awesome responsibility of urging and guiding his God given flock, he is a senior member of the Executive Board of Bishops Council Board, Board of Trustees and Diocesan Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World 27 th Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. He is also an apostolic covering and spiritual father to many sons and daughters in the ministry with more than fifty years of ministerial work and experience. In 1972 he was joined in holy matrimony to Evangelist Deborah Tucker Austin, and to this union was orn seven children. After the untimely death of Evangelist Deborah Tucker Austin in a car accident, on April 15, 1992, the Lord blessed Bishop and Dr. Shelia M. Everline Tolbert Greetings from Dr. Shelia Austin Born March 18, 1952 in Toledo, OH, the fourth of six siblings, mother of three sons and grandmother of five grandchildren. Dr. Austin earned her Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees at The University of Toledo, where she served as an Assistant Professor and director of the Teacher Corp. She served the Toledo Public Schools as a Teacher, Administrator, Assistant and Deputy Superintendent and Chief of Staff. In addition, she was known for her work in the community as an activist for women. She retired honorably on September 1, 2005 with 32 years of outstanding service. Dr. Austin was promoted in August 2013 to the position of Dean of the School of Education. It is important to note that she is the first African American to hold that position. She also served as Associate Dean, Department Head and Associate Professor Education for three years. Over the past six years, she has presented at over fifty conferences professional and religious. Besides serving as a consultant for the Alabama Education Association, she has coauthored five Professional Learning Units for AEA, authored and co-authored thirteen articles, two book chapters, one edited book in the last six years, and three Webinars. She is a full professor with tenure at Auburn University at Montgomery. Her concern for women is noted by the following awards and recognitions: Golden Pencil Award, Phenomenal Women Award, University of Toledo Outstanding Minority Alumni Award and most recently the Who s Who in Black in Alabama, 2011 recognition. Presently, Dr. Austin serves on the official board as First Lady and President of the Women Ministries of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World 27 th Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana and Faith Ministries Churches and an official of the Pentecostal Bible College. She is the wife of the Honorable Bishop G. F. Austin. With this union, they now are the parents of ten children and twenty three grandchildren. Bishop and Dr. Sheila know that God purposed their marriage for the building of His Kingdom!
