Brothers & Sisters Spring has finally sprung! Wahoo! I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine last week. Boy we went from Winter directly into Summer! This will be my last newsletter article for this Eagle year. Thank you for allowing me to serve as your Madam President. Next year we will have three new officers joining the ranks. Brothers and Sisters: Mark your calendar for Cinco de Mayo Saturday, May 5 th for a party that will have you rocking. This will also be a fundraiser for the Max Baer Heart Foundation. Consider bringing a friend or your family. Children are welcome in the hall until 10:00 pm. Here are the particulars: Tickets available at the bar or from Armando or Christine Juarez. Cinco De Mayo for the Heart! Tickets $20 children $10. Aerie and Auxiliary members we encourage you to participate in installation of officers by just being there to lend support and enjoy the reception. Installation of District 5 officers will be held on May 19 th at 11:00 a.m. this will be held at West Seattle Eagles. The District picnic will follow held in our social hall so come on by for hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, salads and more. 4

Installation of Aerie #2643 Aerie and Auxiliary officers will be held on Sunday, May 2oth at 1:00p.m. We want as many of you there as possible. There will be an election for Aerie President on Tuesday May 1 st. We have two candidates in the running: Taco Master, John Ledeman and PWP and past Secretary Paul Shillam. All current Aerie members are asked to cast a vote on Tuesday, May 1st. Just come to the social room between 3:30 8:00pm to vote. I want to thank Mario Gonzalez for his time as a trustee for Aerie #2643. Mario has decided to move on at this time. He has been a consistent and ever-present brother who has put in his time and energy to help us move forward. Thank you, Mario. Now this is exciting! Harry Arthur was chosen for Honor Flight May 19-21 st. Former Marine, Patriot, and our own Aerie Brother, we wish this experience to be an honorable and exciting time for Harry. We look forward to hearing all about it. Auxiliary Secretary s Charity Report: Congratulations Paul Creasman on the HUGE SUCCESS of your Platinum Review Fundraiser!!! Paul s show raised over $4000 and he shared the love with two wonderful West Seattle Eagles charities! All Aboard and The Treehouse for Mary Bridge Children s Hospital (our 2017-18 State Madam President s charity) will both be recipients of $1032 checks. We Are People Helping People PWP Russ Martiens with the WSHS Girl s Softball team accepting the Aerie s Donation 7

Attention Brothers and Sisters Dues are due May 31st. Please get your dues paid early this will help out our Aerie and Auxiliary greatly. $48 Aerie $36 Auxiliary District 5 meeting is at West Seattle #2643 May 19, 2018. This meeting will also be the installation of new district officers and memorial service. The meeting starts at 11am. There will be a lunch served after.
