In preparation for this night, we are making the following special request: If a loved one of yours from Saint Jude Parish died since November 1 of last year, but the funeral celebration did not take place here at Saint Jude, could you please contact our Parish Office to let us know this. We would like to extend a personal invitation to you and your family to be present for this Mass and to light a memorial candle for your loved one. During any given year, it is possible that someone from our parish will have died and the funeral celebrated elsewhere, but our office not be notified. Blessing of the Animals Saturday, October 6 th at 9:00 AM The feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, is usually celebrated on October 4 th. In celebration of the feast day, on Saturday, October 6 th at 9:00 AM, St. Jude will have a Blessing of the Animals service on the deck. We invite everyone to bring their pets to receive a special blessing. Please have all animals contained or secured in some way. Thanks! Colin Raby, son of Michel and Karla Raby of St. Jude Parish, received his Eagle Scout Award on Sunday September 23 during a ceremony held at the LSU Hilltop Arboretum. In attendance, along with other guests, were Mr. Reginald Brown and Fr. Trey Nelson. Congratulations to Colin and his family on this accomplishment! One Hope! One Faith! One Family! Thank you to all parishioners who have completed and submitted your Commitment Card to the church. As a reminder, all commitments need to be submitted to the church no later than October 14 in order to be accounted for in the final Summary Report.
