Joyful News! We are happy to announce that after consultation with the Parish Council and St. Patrick Hospital, St. Francis Xavier will be opening a parish Child Care Center replacing the early education program operated by St. Joseph School. St. Francis Xavier is undertaking this ministry in order to meet the needs of our parishioners and the staff at St. Patrick hospital who are in critical need of infant and early childhood care. We are equally pleased to announce that Angie Colbert has been named the director of the St. Francis Xavier Child Care Center which will continue to be located in the lower level of the Loyola Center next to St. Patrick Hospital. The Center plans to be open September 1, 2018 and you may reach Angie at acolbert@sfxmissoula.org. Look for more exciting news and information regarding this latest addition to St. Francis Xavier Church in the coming weeks. 2

Prayer Walk in Celebration of the Solemnity of St. Ignatius of Loyola Saturday, July 28, 2018 8:30a to 12:00p Saint Ignatius Loyola, who referred to himself as The Pilgrim, often prayed on his feet, and encouraged his companions to do the same. He trekked his Basque homeland, and far beyond, with a desire to see it as God saw it. So it is fitting that, as a Jesuit parish, one of the ways we will celebrate the Solemnity of Saint Ignatius of Loyola is by stepping beyond the walls of our church buildings and put feet to our prayers. We will be taking our prayers to the places in our community where we desire to see God s living presence manifested and our prayer petitions answered. For example, we will stand outside the Poverello Center and St. Patrick Hospital, praying quietly for blessings of God s love, peace and healing for all those they serve.
