Psalm 119:11, NIV Key Question: What is with you wherever you go? Bottom Line: God s Word is with me wherever I go. Basic Truth: God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Social (Introductory Activities, 10 minutes) Let one teacher lead activities in different areas of the room while another teacher greets parents and kids at the door. 9:00 & 11:30 I Love What You Need: I Love Activity Pages and foam hearts What You Do: During the Activity: Give each child a different Activity Page. You may use duplicates. Ask the children to place a foam heart onto items on the page that they love. Try to spend a little time with each child to let them show you the things that they love. After the Activity: When the children have finished, invite them to brush the hearts off of the page with their hands and switch pages with a friend. Repeat the activity. Allow each child to place hearts on each of the four pages. What You Say: Before the Activity: I LOVE PIZZA! We are going to do an activity that lets you show me the things that you LOVE! During the Activity: Look at the pictures on the page. If you see something that you LOVE, place a heart (hold up) on top of it. (Do activity.) Great job! Now use your hand to brush off the hearts (demonstrate) and we can switch pages with our friends! (Finish activity.) I will come around to look at your page so that you can show me the things that you LOVE! After the Activity: Great job! You LOVE some really awesome things! Today we re going to hear a Bible Truth about who LOVES us! Transition: Move to Worship and Bible by asking the children to name things they love as they walk to the Bible area.

3 10:15 Spin That Feeling What You Need: Spin That Feeling spinner What You Do: During the Activity: Point out each of the emotions on the page (happy, sad, sick, and angry). Let the children take turns spinning the spinner and then acting out the emotion that it lands on. Repeat until every child has had a turn. What You Say: During the Activity: Do you see all these faces? (Point.) What emotions do you see? (Pause as the children identify the different emotions.) Great job! Now let s take turns. Each of you will spin the spinner and then show us what this emotion looks like. (Demonstrate.) We will each have a turn! After the Activity: Did you know that no matter how we re feeling, God loves us? The Bible tells us that God loves us ALL the time. He loves us when we re sick, He loves us when we re sad, He s loves us when we re angry, and He loves us when we re happy. The Bible tells us that God loves us all the time! Isn t that awesome? I can t wait to hear more about God s love for us in today s Bible Truth. Transition: Move to Worship and Bible by calling out an emotion (happy, sad, frustrated, scared, excited, worried, sick, sleepy, surprised) for the children to act out and then say, The Bible tells me God loves me all the time! Bible (Large Group, 20 minutes) After children have participated in Social, gather them for a large group time that includes interactive worship, introductory sketch and Bible Truth. Place your We are in The Sandbox sign on the door as you leave. Travel to the Sandbox.

4 July 15, 2018 Bible Focus: The Bible tells me God loves me all the time. God Loves Me All the Time Jeremiah 31:3 Memory Verse: I have hidden your word in my heart. Psalm 119:11, NIV Key Question: What is with you wherever you go? Bottom Line: God s Word is with me wherever I go. Basic Truth: God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Journaling (Small Groups, 15 minutes) Journaling is designed to help preschoolers understand how the Bottom Line applies to them. They ll discuss real-life experiences and share prayer requests. Give each child a cup of Chex cereal to snack on while you take them through the following exercise. What you Need: Paperclip Memory Verse Card in your Bible at Psalm 119:11. Journal and a fun-shaped pen. Reward stamps and Clock Symbol Sticker. SMALL GROUP LEADER (SGL): Guess what time it is. It s time for Small Group! (Chant the words below and clap as you walk to your Small Group spot.) CHILDREN and SGL: Small Group time, Small Group time, it s time for Small Group time! (Lead the children to your small group spot as you chant and clap.) Here we are! It s time to sit down and talk about today s Bible Truth. One, two, three, sit down with me! (Open the Bible and hold it for the children to see.) Our Bible Truth today was about how God loves us all the time. God loves you when you re sad. God loves you when you do something wrong. God loves you when you re sick. God loves you when you re happy. God loves you when you re playing. God loves you when you re eating. God loves you when you re sleeping! God loves you all the time! Who loves you? CHILDREN and SGL: [Basic Truth] God loves me! SGL: He sure does! And when we remember that God loves us all the time, we take God s Word with us wherever we go. What is with you wherever you go?

5 CHILDREN and SGL: [Bottom Line] God s Word is with me wherever I go. SGL: You got it! And we have been learning a Bible verse that will help us remember to hide God s Word in our heart so we can take it wherever we go. (Turn the pages of your Bible to the Memory Verse Card.) It says: I have hidden (thumbs to chest) your word (both hands point up) in my heart (cover heart with hands), Psalm 119:11. (Hold out hands like a book.) (Close Bible and lay it down.) Let s stand up and see how much we remember. Just say what I say and do what I do! CHILDREN and SGL: I have hidden (thumbs to chest) your word (both hands point up) in my heart (cover heart with hands), Psalm 119:11. (Hold out hands like a book.) (Repeat the verse with motions a few times.) SGL: Wow! God made you SO smart! (Give each child a high five.) It s time to sit back down so we can write in our prayer journal. (Hold journal, fun-shaped pen, and Clock Symbol Sticker. ) Today we are adding this sticker to our prayer journal. (Hold up Clock Symbol Sticker. ) Clocks tell us what time it is. It s time to wake up! It s time to eat! It s time to go to school! This clock sticker reminds us that God loves us all the time. (Place the sticker in the journal.) Let s make a list of times under this clock sticker. They can be any of the times we ve talked about, because God loves us all the time! When I say your name, tell me one time and I ll write it down. We can use our list when we pray. (Write each child s name and what they say beside their name. Remember to print the words they say so the children can recognize their names and the letters.) Look at all these times. (Hold up list.)

6 Wow! Thanks! Let s pray and thank God for loving us all the time. Would anyone like to pray before I pray? (Give each child who wants to pray the opportunity to do so.) Prayer SGL: Dear God, thank You for loving us all the time. You love us when (read the list the children made). No matter where we go, what we re doing, or how we feel, You love us. Your love is SO big! I pray we always remember that You love us all the time. We love You, God! In Jesus name, amen.

Groups (Application Activities, 15 minutes) These activities are designed to help preschoolers understand and remember today s Bible Truth and Bottom Line. 9:00 & 11:30 Follow the Signs What You Need: Clock Symbol 2 Clock Parent Activity Option 2 Activity Pages; paper plates (1 per child); painter s sticks (1 per child); glue; tape; crayons; markers; completed sample craft What You Do: Before the Activity: Each child will need one clock and a parent note. During the Activity: Assist the children in drawing clock hands on their clocks with crayons or markers. Next, the children will glue their Clock Symbol 2 to one side of a paper plate. They will then glue a Clock Parent Activity Option 2 to the other side of the paper plate. Once Clock Symbol 2 and Clock Parent Activity Option 2 are glued in place, allow the children to use the crayons and markers decorate their clocks. What You Say: Before the Activity: I am going to help you make a super fun sign that will remind you that you can talk to God anytime. You re going to need a clock picture, crayons, and a stick. Once you have your clock signs ready we can glue/tape them to your stick. (Children will draw the clock hands and then glue the Clock Symbol 2 to one side of the paper plate and Clock Parent Activity Option 2 to the other side of the plate and then to the stick.) (Once everyone has a Clock Symbol road sign made) Your clocks look so cool! No matter what time your clock says, you can talk to God. God is always listening! God and His Word go with you wherever you go! What is with you wherever you go? [Bottom Line] God s Word is with me wherever I go!

8 10:15 All the Time What You Need: Time Activity Page, Time Label stickers, white paper plates (1 per child), glue sticks, and completed sample craft What You Do: Before the Activity: Each child will need a full circle of numbers cut into four sections. During the Activity: Give each child a paper plate and the first section of numbers (1-3). Help the children glue this section to the top right outer section of the plate. Next, give the children the next section of numbers (4-6) and help them glue them onto the bottom right outer section of the plate. Then give the children the next section of numbers (7-9) and help them glue to the bottom left outer section of the plate. Lastly, give the children the last section of numbers (10-12) and help them glue them to the top left outer section of the plate. The plate should resemble a clock when finished. After the Activity: Invite the children to place the label in the middle of the plate. What You Say: Before the Activity: The Bible tells us that God loves us ALL the time! During the Activity: We are going to make a clock that tells us when God loves us. The first section of numbers is one through three. (Hold up.) I see a sickly face on the number three. That means that God loves us when we are sick. Let s glue on the first section of numbers right here. (Point to top right outer section.) Great job! The second section of numbers is four through six. (Hold up.) I see a happy face on the number six. That tells us that God loves us when we are happy! Glue this section right here. (Point to bottom right outer section.) Perfect! The third section of numbers is seven through nine. (Hold up.) There is a sad face on the number nine. That tells us that God loves us when we are sad. Let s glue this section on right here. (Point to the bottom left outer section.) Our last set of numbers is 10-12. There is a mad face on the number 12. God even loves us when we are mad! Let s glue the last piece of our clock on here. (Point to the top left outer section.) Nice work! Now place this label right in the middle. (Finish activity.) After the Activity: God loves us ALL the time no matter how we feel or where we are. God s Word tells us that no matter what, God loves us ALL THE TIME! And His Word is with us all the time too! What is with you wherever you go? [Bottom Line] God s Word is with me wherever I go!
