Presentation from Serenity House director on the closure of the overnight shelters in town This Sunday, Doc Robinson, executive director of Serenity House, will be with us at coffee hour to talk about the closure of the overnight shelters in June due to insufficient funding, and the desire of Serenity House and the community to reopen them in October as cold wet weather arrives. Community fund-raising has been initiated through United Way so please do stay for coffee hour to hear what's happening in our community for those without shelter, the "least of these," and how those efforts can be supported.

Thanks to the fillers of the Food Bank basket One day last week I had the occasion to go through our Food Bank basket to make up a bag to deliver to someone in need. I was so grateful to find a variety of "good" food; food that would sustain, not only boxes of jello or the rejects from our own pantries. I took a bag of peanut butter, loaf of bread, cans of tuna, good breakfast cereal and a carton of almond milk, chili, canned potatoes, etc. There are, of course, suggestions for the Food Bank every month to fill their shelves. But it happens occasionally that someone needs to take from what we ourselves have here and I was glad to have been able to put together a variety of healthy and substantive foods which would have made several good meals. Thank you! Gail+

Congratulations to our Confirmands From Left: Jeff Graham (Reception), Madison Orth (Confirmation), Matthew Mitchell (Bishop s Chaplain), Cam MacDonald (Confirmation), Bishop Rickel, Ashley Sampson (Confirmation), Sophie Orth (Confirmation), the Rev.
