In Our Parish... PARISHIONER SENIOR LUNCH POTLUCK The Senior Luncheon is open to all Seniors of Sacred Heart Catholic Church to encourage fellowship and camaraderie among registered parishioners while enjoying a lunch. All are welcome but please no walk-ins! American Heritage Girls Troop FL5312 would like to thank you for your generosity in supporting their Wreaths Across America collection in our parish. With the funds collected at these Masses, we were able to purchase 127 wreaths to place on veterans graves at the Jacksonville Memory Gardens on December 16 th. Sacred Heart Early Education Program (SHEEP) and the American Heritage Girls Troop FL5312 would like to thank you for your generosity with your Angel Tree donation of fuzzy non-skid socks and slippers for the residents of Governors Creek Health and Rehabilitation. On December 18 th, we had 56 moms and children at the nursing home singing Christmas Carols and passing out gifts to each resident. We were truly able to spread Christmas love and cheer! Around the Diocese... Marriage Preparation Marriage Preparation: To schedule a wedding, an engaged couple must meet with their parish priest or deacon at least eight months before their proposed wedding date. Preparation for the sacrament includes attending a diocesan program such as Engaged Encounter or Pre Cana. Also, couples of childbearing age will need to take a full course of Natural Family Planning. Pre-registration for each of these programs is mandatory. The next Engaged Encounter program will be January 19 th -21 st at Marywood Retreat Center. The next Pre Cana program will be February 10 th in Jacksonville. CHARITY ART AUCTION Saturday, January 20 th, 2018 12:00 pm TO 5:00 pm ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH The Knights of Columbus are asking for donations of art work by local adult and high school artists to be sold. Proceeds from the Auction will be donated to Catholic Relief Services to construct water and sanitation systems for some of God s poorest of poor people. Plan to attend!! Admission is free.
