NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The Windsor Community Church Annual General Meeting will be held after the 10am Service on October 14. OPERATION 10% On Sunday September 2 Ray Yardley addressed the Congregation in regards to the financial deficit of parish finances. Ray s message was that if members increased their giving by 10% (i.e. $10 becomes $11 etc) then the deficit would be covered and would mean the monthly running of our ministries and other obligations would be covered. He pointed out this does not cover meeting the depreciation costs that will be the audited accounts, so projects that could be funded from depreciation reserves will need to be funded from general funds on a case by case basis e.g. as with the recent funding of the Manse driveway refurbishment. Ray commented it important for us as a parish to know we are covering expenses and also important for planning into the future to know our finances are in order. He also commented that the Ministry Resource Team has expenditure trimmed as much as possible and have done a great job in doing so. The onus is now with the congregation to assist MRT in being able to present a non-deficit budget at the AGM. Ray is willing to speak with anyone who has questions about this either personally or by phone (2177372). GARAGE SALE RESULT - Thank you from Tasha for the items given for the Garage Sale. $540.00 was raised enabling the purchase of 12 tickets for Continuum 2019. 3
