It is very important for each of you to have a copy. You may obtain a copy either by email or pick one up at a meeting. Our Fin/Sec Joe Keaney maintains the roster on a day by day basis and then prepares an up dated roster quarterly. Our next roster will be published on 31 Oct 07. PLEASE be sure to inform Joe (298-8088) of any changes in your address, phone number, or email information. Our roster has many uses but the most important is to keep in touch with our members. Inform your next of kin on the procedure to follow if God forbid you are unable to do so due to illness. God Bless All of You! GK Joe G

Monthly Council Activities Report Each month I prepare a Council Activities Report. This report is broken down into the five Service Activities each council uses to qualify for the Columbian Award at the end of the fraternal year. One area that I have neglected is under Church Activities. We have many brothers who actively serve in many church activities on a monthly basis. But, how many and how often is the question? To get an answer to this question I sent an email to all those with computer access. Thanks to those who replied. Others who get this newsletter and are Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Religion Teachers, Choir Members, etc at St Pius., please answer the following question: What area do you serve and the number of times during the month you perform that service? Submit your reply to me by phone (296-7086) or leave a note for me at the Parish Office. Thanks for your help! Grand Knight Joe G
Page 3 of 5 SO PROUDLY THEY SERVED As many of you know the Fourth Degree is the Patriotic Degree. Fourth Degree Sir Knights from Council 10762 are members of the Msgr. James T. Weber Assembly. The assembly, composed of a number of councils, puts on an annual benefit for the VA Hospital. This year the Veterans Benefit Dinner will be held at St Joseph Church Parish Hall on November 10 th. Tickets and additional information is available from SK Joe Gulotta. If you can t make the dinner donations will be accepted by the Weber Assembly. The VA Hospital provides for those handicapped bed ridden Veterans unable to provide for themselves. Many items that we consider standard everyday items these veterans consider luxuries. Items that are not furnished by the VA Hospital are provided though local organizations such as the Knights of Columbus. All profits made from the dinner are sent to the VA Hospital for this purpose. Join us in this small way of saying thanks to those who proudly served us. AN EXCERPT FROM A LETTER FROM SUPREME Worthy Grand Knight: On behalf of my fellow Supreme Officers and Supreme Directors, I am pleased to congratulate you and all the members of Council 10762 for being designated a Star Council for the 2006-2007 fraternal year. * * * * * * * * During the past fraternal year, Council 10762 has truly distinguished itself in its Surge with Service programming activities, membership growth, retention and insurance promotion. For these achievements, you should be justly proud and find satisfaction in knowing that your Council is effectively serving the Church and its community in fidelity to the founding vision of The Servant of God Father Michael J. McGivney. * * * * * * * * With gratitude for your good work and best wishes, I am Fraternally, (Signed) Carl A Anderson Supreme Knight I want to encourage all of you to maintain the excellence that we were recognized for this year, and hopefully merit the prestigious Star Council Award again in the coming year. Thank you all. Grand Knight Joe G
