So, let us sing and be happy no matter what our circumstances are, and we too can be lifted up, and hopefully we will encourage others in song.

Eugene Church of Christ...in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:5.a difficult task! The process of selecting a minister is a difficult task! The first question we asked was Do we need a full-time minister? We think so. The next question was Can we afford a full-time minister? We need to. We Elders believed it was time to begin searching. We prayed. We asked each of you to pray. We began the search. Our first task was choosing a selection committee : the three Elders, the interim-minister Larry C., Deb H., Ruth D., and Jerry B. Starting last January we met every two weeks. We asked ourselves, and God, How do we do this? Through much discussion we decided to interview two individuals who gave us good ideas; we got information from the internet; we contacted Harding University (asking for names of men who might be looking for a preaching position). Results: six men to contact. We did SKYPE/phone interviews with four men; gave each a questionnaire; and, then we evaluated each man. Of the four men two were selected, Chet Rutledge and Brian Lewis to visit us. You ve met them, and heard them teach and preach; and, had opportunity to visit each man and his wife, during Sunday noon potluck. You were asked, after each visit, to fill in an evaluation form and submit it to the Elders. We truly appreciate your evaluation! Now, it is the responsibility of the Elders, who earnestly approach God in prayer, to accept God s choice of the man who will best serve our congregation as full-time minister. Roy SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 86: 9-12 9 All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name. 10 For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God. 11 Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. 12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. Our congratulations to Paul, Jacob, and Rodney Unborn and unwanted children Every teen-ager! Forever precious. Search Committee, and New Minister Our military and families Our President, Congress, and the U.S.A. Saturday, 28 ANNIVERSARIES Friday, 27 Larry and Paula C. Lines from Larry: The Good News In and Out Wondering what to do now that we finished reading the book of John? We have been planting the gospel in our minds and hearts by reading it together for the past 21 weeks. I want to encourage you to keep meeting with those you have been reading with. While we won t start a new reading plan until after the July 4th holiday, why not get together for the next few weeks and share your favorite section, story, or teaching from the gospel that has been planted in you? And, use the time to pray together. The gospel has constantly been calling us to greater and greater belief. Someone has said that the amount of time we spend in prayer is a great indicator of how much we believe. So let s pray with each other that God will take the seed of the gospel He has planted, and produce fruit in us. Pray about the decision we are making to hire a minister. Pray for the elders, for the two families we hosted the past two weekends, and for the future of our church. Pray that God will use the gospel in us to share the gospel out from us. Good news in, Good news out. Pray with each other. Pray for each other. Come together and pray. Looking for a few great Cub Scouts. Boy Scout Troop 60 has again restarted its Cub Scout program.
