They need to hear the stewardship message that God has given them many unique and special gifts. I ask you to support the effort by first and foremost bringing your child to Mass every weekend. Remind them to bring their envelopes with them and talk with them through the week regarding their thoughts and feelings about Stewardship of Prayer, Service, and Sacrificial Giving. This program IS NOT to raise more money for our parish NOR DO I expect you to give them money. Include grade. The same format will be observed as in recent years. There is a limit of three Mass requests for any one date, so it would be advisable to get your request in as early as possible if you would like a certain date. The donation requested is still $10.00 per Mass and you can schedule your request in a few different ways. 1. Stop by the Rectory between the hours of 9:15a.m. and 12 Noon any week day morning when the secretary is in. (please call first) 2. Make a list of all Masses you would like and mail it to the rectory office or drop it in the Sunday Collection Basket with your Sunday Donations. Make your check or money order payable to Nativity of Our Lord Church. Please make sure you include your name and phone number just in case the requested date is already closed. Keep in mind that the following dates are closed to all Mass requests and all Masses on those dates will be for the Parish. De La Salle will be hosting a Dads Appreciation Barbecue on Saturday, September 15, from Noon 3 pm at the school. There will be music provided by DJ Thunder, bean bag games and food. The cost is $10 per person and includes entry fee, hot dog and a drink. In addition, a car show also will take place. The cost for the car show is $25 for motorcycles and $35 for cars.
