This is the beginning of our newest, biggest, and most amazing series we ve ever had. Wecome, everyone, to Epic! When we say that something is epic, that means we re taking about something that is huge, amazing, and awesome! And in this series, we re going to earn from some of the most epic essons of the Bibe. But, first up, I need everyone on their feet for a brand new, epic song! Teacher eads the chidren in singing the song. 2 song 3 Wow! That was great! And now I think we re ready for our first epic esson from the Bibe. And it s a good one! It has a nation of peope crying out to God for hep, an evi ruer that no one has dared to chaenge, and there s even an amazing rescue at the end! The story can be found in the book of Exodus, starting in chapter 3. Note: Pay Bibe Lesson Video chapter # 3. 3 Bibe Lesson Intro side

4 What was true for the Israeites then is sti true for us today. God is the ony One worthy of our worship. He proved His power to Pharaoh and the Israeites over and over again. And He is just as powerfu today as He was then. And if there is one epic point we can take away from this esson, it s that we shoud worship God. And that s our Main Point for this esson. [4] I Wi Worship God! Now et s give this epic point the epic treatment it needs. Everybody stand up and get ready to be oud! 4 Main Point animation The Teacher works with the chidren to make up cheereader-type hand motions that go aong with the Main Point. Once everyone has gone over the Main Point, have the chidren repeat it with motions two or three times. 5 6 7 Great job, my friends. And there are many ways that we worship God. Here at church, we worship God when we sing songs to Him, when we pray to Him, when we earn essons from the Bibe, and when we give our offering! We aso worship God by being obedient to Him, and iving our ives focused on Him. Worship is very important to God and it shoud be important to us as we. However, thinking about the story of the Israeites in Egypt, I can t hep but wonder how things coud have been different. What if the Israeites chose not to go with Moses? What woud have happened if after a the pagues, the peope had decided that they didn t want to go into the widerness to worship God? (aows chidren to respond) Those are interesting ideas, and I think I know two peope...we... two sort of peope that coud hep us with this. There is a way for us to see what coud have happened if the peope in the Bibe Lesson had done the wrong thing instead of the right thing. And to do that, we need to take a trip to the Not So Epic Theatre with Fernando Dupont and Chester Chinsworth. Note: Pay Skit Video chapter # 5 foowed by Epic Fied Game chapter # 6. Wow...that was reay...um...not so epic. I am gad that, in the rea Bibe Lesson, the Israeites made the right decision and chose to go with Moses to worship God. If they hadn t, things coud have turned out awfu! It s the same for us. Things definitey turn out better when we ive our ives worshiping God. And that brings us to today s epic Bibe Verse! Check this out. 5 6 7 skit intro video and first narrator video epic team chaenge Bibe Verse You must worship ony the LORD your God. He is the one who wi rescue you from a your enemies. 2 Kings 7:39 (NLT) Wow, there s a ot of great stuff in this verse. I ike how it commands us to worship God. We must worship Him. And it aso tes us why, because He is the One who wi rescue us from our enemies. That s another way of saying that God is the ony One we can rey on. And that s just one of the reasons He is the ony One worthy of our worship. We ve been taking a ot 2

about worshiping God, but I think it s time we put what we ve said into practice. Let s stand and sing to God and then enter our time of offering. 8 song 2 8 Teacher eads the chidren in singing the song. After the song, the Teacher begins the offering time. Thank you for singing. Now we continue to worship God by giving our tithes and offerings. This is the time to think about everything that God has bessed you with. This is a time to be thankfu and to show our thanks by giving back to Him. Pease bow your heads and pray with me as we prepare to give. 9 offering 9 4 OFFERING Note: Lead the chidren in prayer. If you want to, incude eements of the esson you are teaching today. For instance, today we are taking about worshiping God. So, you might say, God, we know that You have done, and continue to do, amazing things. You are the ony One worthy of our worship. No one is more powerfu than You. Pease hep us to never forget that. Amen. Take up the offering. 0 Thank you. And now we re going to take a break from our Large Group and hang out in our Sma Groups! Learn from your eader and have fun in today s Sma Group Activity. [0] In the meantime, I get your Review Game ready to pay. Note: If the chidren do not change rooms for the Sma Group time, review the Main Point before you begin the activities. If the chidren do change rooms for the Sma Group time, have the chidren review the Main Point whie they exit. Aso, encourage the chidren to exit the room whie performing some sort of creative motion. 0 sma groups MP sti SMALL GROUPS 2 Teacher greets the chidren as they return from Sma Groups. Wecome back from your Sma Groups! I hope everyone was paying attention, because I have something specia prepared. It s a Review Game that is so epic...every singe one of you wi be paying the game. It s time for an Epic Review Game of Doom And/Or Gory! Note: For specific instructions on how to ead the chidren through this Review Game, you wi need to print out Epic Review Game Of Doom And-Or Gory Hep Sheet L from your Lesson Materias CD-ROM.
