BSM Bethel Student Ministries (Open to current 6-12 th graders) July 16-22, 2017 Twin Cities Servant Leadership Mission
2017 Servant Leadership Mission Trip Info & Application For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45) Details for the trip: July 16-22, 2017 Twin Cities: We will partner up with an organization called Lead222 to spend a week on mission in Minneapolis and St. Paul. We will be staying at New Life Academy in Woodbury along with over 300 students from across the country. Each day we will have projects planned in the cities to serve and share the love of Jesus with people. Each night, we will return to New Life for an evening session filled with great worship music, a relevant lesson and some time to process our day together. Lead222 focuses on helping students become world changing leaders who know and serve Jesus. The theme for this year is Love Recklessly and each student will be challenged to love the way Jesus loved. This will be an amazing time of growth from the experience of serving others and the community of other committed Christians. Requirements for the Trip: Each student must attend a mandatory pre-trip Bible Study and team building. We will meet every week for a few months in the spring/summer leading up to the trip, team members need to be present unless excused ahead of time. This time is usually on Sunday morning either before, after, or during services plus scheduled fundraisers or service project opportunities. We will post a full schedule as we come closer to when we will begin meeting. Each student must be actively involved in our youth group between now and the trip. Each student must participate in scheduled activities leading up to the trip: o A few fundraisers leading up the trip o Mandatory bible study and team building o One service project yet to be determined. Each student will be responsible for raising their support. The cost of the trip is yet to be determined but should be around $500. We will try and offset the cost of the trip with some fundraisers and each team member can decide how they want to pay the rest. Some students work, others send out support letters, some families pay out of their budget. We will do our best to make this affordable. Applications are out December 14- January 11 th.
