Anyone interested in learning more about what it means to become a Catholic Christian, should contact the parish office. Baptism The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated at scheduled Liturgies. Parishioners who are expecting a child should contact the office at least two months in advance, or as soon as possible to make arrangements and meet with the Baptismal Preparation Team. Reconciliation Also known as penance or confession, the Sacrament of Penance is regularly available every Saturday at 3:30pm in the church. Individual appointments may also be made with one of the priests. The Sacrament of Penance is celebrated communally during the seasons of Advent and Lent. Marriage Engaged parishioners who are interested in being married at St. Timothy Parish must contact one of the priests at least six months in advance. Call the office regarding Marriage Preparation classes. Sacrament of the Sick Praying for healing in body, mind and soul has always been a part of the Church s ministry to those who are ill. Anyone who is seriously ill or anticipating hospitalization, may celebrate the Sacrament on Saturdays following the 9am Mass, or upon request. Devotion/Prayer Groups Rosary is said Monday through Saturday prior to morning Mass. Guild of St. Timothy The Guild normally meets monthly. Please refer to the bulletin. New Jerusalem Charismatic Prayer Group meets on Thursday from 7:30-9pm. All are welcome!

We were able to gather many beautiful dresses, suits, shoes, and veils. Several were put to very good use last weekend during our First Communion Masses. On Sunday, May 20th, Father Culloty will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. Dear friends- A Message From Our Pastor The last few weeks in our parish as well as in many parishes have been the time of the reception of the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion. Here in our parish 66 High School Sophomores were confirmed and 88 children received their First Communion. We now begin the season of weddings. I must say that even after all the years I have been a priest, it is still a wonderful experience for me to be a part of these special celebrations. There are few vocations in life where you can be such a special part of significant moments in people s lives. My thanks to all those who help prepare these members of our parish for these Sacraments and thanks to all of you-- the members of our parish-- who by your continued support enable us to continue inviting people to grow in the practice of their faith. As you know, we are continuing to formulate plans for the 50 th anniversary of our parish. Our hope is that every member of our parish will have the opportunity to celebrate this milestone. If you would like to help with the planning of the different events, please contact Kathy at the parish office and she can provide details about needs and opportunities. Today we celebrate Mother s Day. Whether our mothers are with us or not, I hope that each one of us says a prayer of thanks for our mothers who have blessed us with the gift of life and who, in so many cases, made great sacrifices for us. In my own case, I know I could never repay my mother for the great example of faith that she was for me, and if I have a few good qualities, I owe those to her and to her living out, in so many different ways, the teachings and example of Christ. May we continue to show our gratitude to God for the gift of our mothers by living out in our lives the values and good example they have shared with us. Fr. Open House at St. Catherine s St. Catherine of Siena School will host a See You in September Open House for new and prospective parents on Tuesday evening, May 15, at 7:00 pm in the gym. ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT TO SUPPORT SEMINARIANS The 20 th Annual Blessed John XXIII National Seminary Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, May 21st at The Weston Golf Club. This premier charity event is held to benefit the educational program for the seminarians. Tuition covers only half the cost of educating a seminarian and the proceeds from this tournament will help bridge the gap and keep the cost of educating them affordable. The $250 player entry includes lunch at the Club, 18 holes of golf with cart, and door prizes; followed by a social hour, silent auction and dinner for each golfer and a guest at the seminary. Fernando is raising money for the Norwood-Walpole Relay for Life, to benefit the American Cancer Society.
