FROM THE TEE BOX A Few Thoughts from Our Pastor Dear Friends: From the Tee Box! April 25-26, 2015 The Fourth Sunday of Easter This weekend we welcome to the Eucharistic table our children celebrating their First Communion! It is indeed something very special to be a part of this celebration. Congratulations to our children and to their parents! Thank you again to Melanie (our Director of Christian Formation) and to all of our catechists. As we continue to experience Spring time we come again to certain milestone events: First Eucharist, graduations, proms, Mothers Day, weddings, and so on. Let us continue to lift up especially our graduates in prayer. You may have read on the cover of last week s bulletin that our diocesan Pastoral Planning Task Force, of which I serve as chair, will be taking our next step in planning for the future. We will begin the process of parish visitations, during which we will ask every parish in our diocese to consider its own vitality and how we can be as strong as possible both now and in the future. With this in mind, I would also like to remind us that Deacon Matthew Graham, a life long parishioner of Saint Jude, will celebrate his ordination to the priesthood on Saturday May 30th and will celebrate his first Mass of Thanksgiving the following day at 11:30am here at Saint Jude. We rejoice with Matthew and his family and look forward to this moment of blessing in their life and our life as a church. Have a great week! St. Jude Parish College Group Shares Faith and Fellowship! (Members of the St. Jude College Group sharing in a meal, prior to conversation and prayer) The Saint Jude College Sharing Group meets on the average twice a month on Sunday evenings. The night usually begins with food (at 6:30pm) and is followed by conversation and then a closing prayer. The group is open to young people ages 18 to 23. For more information, contact the parish office. Sincerely, Fr. Trey Nelson

During this Year of Consecrated Life, we give you thanks for these courageous witnesses of Faith and models of inspiration. Their pursuit of holy lives teaches us to make a more perfect offering of ourselves to you. Continue to enrich your Church by calling forth sons and daughters who, having found the pearl of great price, treasure the Kingdom of Heaven above all things. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
