Divine Worship 8:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me. In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. VOLUNTARY: We Now Implore the Holy Spirit WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS CHORAL INTROIT: Come, Sinners, to the Gospel Feast Come, sinners, to the gospel feast, Let every soul be Jesus guest; Ye need not one be left behind, For God hath bidden all mankind. Come, all ye souls by sin oppressed, Ye restless wanderers after rest, Ye poor, and maimed, and halt, and blind, In Christ a hearty welcome find. His love is mighty to compel; His conquering love consent to feel, Yield to his love s resistless power, And fight against your God no more. Chancel Choir (I Corinthians 11:23-26, ESV) Dietrich Buxtehude GERMANY Words by Charles Wesley CALL TO WORSHIP Mr. Squires (8:30) Mr. Bult (11:15) + HYMN 6: O Come, My Soul, Bless Thou the Lord TIDINGS Trinity Hymnal + INVOCATION AND LORD S PRAYER Our Father, which art in heaven; Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. + THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost; born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven; and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. + GLORIA PATRI Henry Greatorex Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. PRESENTATION OF TITHES AND OFFERINGS OFFERTORY: As the Rain John Ness Beck This is the very word of the Lord. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven And do not return until they have watered the earth, Making it blossom and bear fruit, and give seed for sowing and bread to eat, So shall the word which comes from my mouth prevail; It shall not return to me fruitless without accomplishing my purpose Or succeeding in the task I gave it. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, And my thoughts than your thoughts. This is the very word of the Lord. Ecclesiastes 11:1-12:8 Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. 2 Give a portion to seven, or even to eight, for you know not what disaster may happen on earth. 3 If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth, and if a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie. 4 He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. 5 As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything. 6 In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good. 7 Light is sweet, and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun. 8 So if a person lives many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember that the days of darkness will be many. All that comes is vanity. 9 Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your

youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment. 10 Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity. Remember Your Creator in Your Youth 12 Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, I have no pleasure in them ; 2 before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars are darkened and the clouds return after the rain, 3 in the day when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men are bent, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those who look through the windows are dimmed, 4 and the doors on the street are shut when the sound of the grinding is low, and one rises up at the sound of a bird, and all the daughters of song are brought low 5 they are afraid also of what is high, and terrors are in the way; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along, and desire fails, because man is going to his eternal home, and

the mourners go about the streets 6 before the silver cord is snapped, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern, 7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. 8 Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher; all is vanity.

I Thou shalt have no other gods before me. II Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image. III Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain. IV Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. V Honour thy father and thy mother. VI Thou shalt not kill. VII Thou shalt not commit adultery. VIII Thou shalt not steal. IX Thou shalt not bear false witness. X.Thou shalt not covet. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The Sands of Time Are Sinking The bride eyes not her garment, but her dear bridegroom s face; I will not gaze at glory, but on my King of grace; Not at the crown he gifteth, but on his pierced hand; The Lamb is all the glory of Emmanuel s land.

Benediction May the grace of Christ our Savior and the Father s boundless love, With the Holy Spirit s favor, rest upon us from above.
