Overview of Alimah & Qiraat Course This part time course, based on a classical curriculum, is designed to help beginners progress from an elementary stage to a very advanced level in Arabic and Islamic Studies. Taught by qualified Alimahs and Qurra in English with a progressive focus on Arabic, it comprises an in depth study of many disciplines in Qur an, Qiraat, Tajweed, Hadith, Fiqh, Aqaa id, Theology Arabic Language & Literature. Who is the Target Audience for the Course? This course is ideal for sisters who wish to pursue further Islamic studies. It is an opportunity for students who have completed the Maktab syllabus and wish to progress further in learning Arabic and understanding the Qur an and Hadith. This course is also aimed at those sisters who wish to rectify their recitation of the Qur an and understand its correct meaning. Duration of Course Six years of part-time study. Each academic year will commence in September and end in July. Course Details Option 1: Classes will take place from Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 12.30pm Option 2: Classes will take place from Monday to Thursday from 4.30pm to 7.30pm Course Start Date Monday 5 September 2018 Venue Madina Academy, Swindon Road, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, WF13 2PA Location We are situated in close proximity to Dewsbury Town Centre and walking distance from both the train and bus station. Childcare & Crèche Our on-site Little Scholars Nursery provides childcare and Crèche facilities for children. Please speak to Sugra Apa, Nursery Manager for your requirements. Holidays Madrasa will remain closed during school term holidays, special Islamic days and on public holidays. A full list of holidays will be made available after the course start date.

Course Fees The total annual course fees is 400.00 per student. Payment will be as follows: Annual Administration fee of 25.00 to be paid upon admission or on the first day of new academic year, followed by 4 payments on the below dates. To learn how to use an Arabic-English dictionary To introduce Aqeeda the Creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-jama ah To grasp and revise the different branches of Fiqh Introduction to Tajweed and its practical application in Qur anic recitation.

Outcome By the end of Year One students will: Understand and be able to analyse basic Arabic sentences. They will begin to converse in Arabic conversation. They will have studied Aqeeda the Creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-jama ah They will have an overview of the different branches of Fiqh. They will have reached a good level in reciting Qur an with Tajweed. Teaching Method Students will follow the teacher going through the text and explaining the concepts and theory, supported by a whiteboard, open questions and answers and handouts. Pre-study of lessons will be recommended. Assessment Method Frequent questions of how to apply theory will be asked to the students and tests will be given. The student must come out of the course each year passing a written exam, as this will prove the student has made an effort over the year to study.
