At graduation there is some measure of disappointment and remorse that one did not do better and work harder. However, at such an event the overwhelming emotion is joy, not remorse. The graduates do not leave the auditorium weeping because they did not earn better grades. Rather, they are thankful that they have been graduated, and they are grateful for what they did achieve. To overdo the sorrow aspect of the judgment seat of Christ is to make heaven hell. To under do the sorrow aspect is to make faithfulness inconsequential (underlining mine). 11 1 Tim. 1:15-It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. 1 Tim. 3:1-It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of [a] overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. 1 Tim. 4:9-It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. Titus 3:8- This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men. Gal. 2:20-I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and [t] the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Col. 2:20-If you have died with Christ [x] to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as. Col. 3:3-For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Rom. 6:8-Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him

Eph. 1:21-22-which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. Eph. 2:6-and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Rom. 13:14-But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. Rom. 6:6-knowing this, that our old [c] self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be [d] done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin Rom. 6:12-Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts. 12 Eph. 2:8-9-For by grace you have been saved through faith; and [h] that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 2 Tim. 1:2-To Timothy, my beloved [b] son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 2 Cor 5:10- For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Rom. 14:10, 12-For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God... 12 So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God. 2 Pet. 1:11-for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you. 2 John 8- Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. Constable-While all Christians will reign with Christ, in the sense that we will be with Him when He reigns, the faithful will reign with Christ in a more active sense (cf. Matt. 10:33; Luke 12:9). Knight-"Denial of Christ manifests itself in various ways in the NT. It can consist in denying his name (Rev. 3:8) or faith in him (Rev. 2:13). It can thus take the form of forsaking or repudiating the Christian faith and its truths, particularly the truth concerning Jesus. In doing so one personally denies Christ (and the Father, cf. 1 Jn. 2:22-23). The denial can also manifest itself in the moral realm. Some may 'profess to know God, but by their deeds deny him' (Tit. 1:16; cf. 1 Tim. 5:8)." John 10:28-29-and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 [d] My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father s hand. Eph. 4:30-Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, [w] by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

John 5:24-Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life MacArthur- 12-Believers who persevere give evidence of the genuineness of their faith (see note on Matt. 24:13; Matt. 10:22; John 8:31; Rom. 2:7; Col. 1:23). Reign with him : In His future eternal kingdom (Rev. 1:6; 5:10; 20:4, 6). If we deny him, he also will deny us : Speaks of a final, permanent denial, such as that of an apostate (see note on 1 Tim. 1:19), not the temporary failure of a true believer like Peter (Matt. 26:69-75). Those who so deny Christ give evidence that they never truly belonged to Him (1 John 2:19) and face the fearful reality of one day being denied by Him (Matt. 10:33). 13- If we believe not : This refers to a lack of saving faith, not to weak or struggling faith. Unbelievers will ultimately deny Christ because their faith was not genuine (James 2:14-26). He abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself : As faithful as Jesus is to save those who believe in Him (John 3:16), He is equally faithful to judge those who do not (John 3:18). To act any other way would be inconsistent with His holy, unchangeable nature. Heb. 10:23. 2 Tim. 1:2-To Timothy, my beloved [a] son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Cor. 3:15- If any man s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. 2 John 8- Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. 1 John 2:28-Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not [j] shrink away from Him in shame [k] at His coming. Rev 3:11- I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 2 Tim. 1:12-For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him [a] until that day. 2 Tim. 1:18-the Lord grant to him to find mercy from the Lord on that day and you know very well what services he rendered at Ephesus. 2 Tim. 4:8-in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Tim. 1:12-For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him [a] until that day.

Luke 19:17-And he said to him, Well done, good slave, because you have been faithful in a very little thing, you are to be in authority over ten cities. Luke 19:19-And he said to him also, And you are to be over five cities. Constable-The idea that all Christians will remain faithful is neither true to revelation nor to reality (cf. Luke 8:13; 1 Tim. 4:1; Heb. 3:12; cf. 2 Tim. 4:4). 13 Exod. 4:22-Then you shall say to Pharaoh, Thus says the LORD, Israel is My son, My firstborn. Num. 6:24-26-The LORD bless you, and keep you; 25 The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; 26 The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.
