Up beat MONTHLY NEWSLETTER UNITED PARISH FEBRUARY 2018 OUR LIVES WITH A PURPOSE Rhonda and I have been in Bottineau for 6 months already. It seems like we were busy moving into the parish home just yesterday... except for the snow! The weather is perhaps a bit colder than in the climate to which we were accustomed, but in reality, not all that much. We are thankful that the quantity of snowfall is much less that we witnessed when visiting here last winter. Fortunately, the roads then were good both ways. Many years ago, I began to realize that I was missing something in life, something that gave it all meaning. Perhaps you have had similar feelings. I would love to have you take part in our upcoming bible study titled WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR? by Rick Warren. While all of life s answers are may not be found in this study, I believe it offers great insight into living our lives with purpose. Here is a sampling of what to expect taken from the book s introduction: THIS IS MORE THAN A BOOK; IT IS A GUIDE TO A 4O- DAY SPIRITUAL journey that will enable you to discover the answer to life s most important question: What on earth am I here for? By the end of this journey you will know God s purpose for your life and will understand the big picture how all the pieces of your life fit together. Having this perspective will reduce your stress, simplify your decisions, increase your satisfaction, and, most important, prepare you for eternity.
