CALVARY CEMETERY Have you thought about your final resting place? Hopefully you will consider Calvary Cemetery. To assist you in family planning for final expenses, the Cemetery Committee is offering an incentive in the form of a 10% discount off the current grave price of $700.00 (single). This discount will continue until November 1, 218 and is applicable to all cemetery plots of one (1) to six (6) grave sites. The grave price will increase to $725 at the end of the incentive period. A new section of the cemetery is now available that will accommodate head stones (monuments) on smaller plots. Read on Dear God, This is Charles Dear God, this is Charles. I turned twelve the other day. If you noticed, I am typing this letter. It is hard for me to write sometimes. It s this thing called dysgraphia I never could hold a pencil the right way. I could never color inside the lines. Every time I would try, my hand would cramp up and letters would come out sloppy, the lines too dark and the marker would get all over my hands. My brain doesn t sense what my hand is doing. I can feel the pencil but the message doesn t get through right. I have to grip the pencil tighter so my brain knows it is in my hand. It is much easier for me to explain things by talking than it is to write. I am good at dictating my answers but my teacher doesn t always let me If I got graded at art I would fail for sure. I picture a lot in my head but my hands can t draw what I see. School is hard. You have told me that you made me special when you said that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. You have assured me that you will see me through and that you have plans for me to give me a future and hope. Lord, this is a thank you letter just to let you know that I am doing fine. Life s hard sometimes, but you know what? I accept the challenge. I have the faith to see myself through anything. Thanks for making me me. Thanks for loving me unconditionally. Thanks for everything. AROUND THE AREA Pietra fitness resumes classes on Wednesdays, 3pm at Immaculate Conception in Carges Hall beginning on August 22nd. Pietra Fitness is a stretching, strengthening and balancing exercise program which combines Catholic/ Christian prayer and meditation. Currently Pietra Fitness is primarily offered to women. Notre Dame High School Announces Busing Option: Considering a Catholic Education for your student? Notre Dame High School is pleased to offer a busing option to students in grades PreK-12, making a catholic education a viable option for students residing in Ithaca and the surrounding areas. The Ithaca bus will transport students from the Plain Street entrance of the former Immaculate Conception School to St. Mar Our Mother Elementary School (PreK4 grade 6) and to Notre Dame High School (grades 7 12).
