WEEKLY PRAYER SHEET 04/08/2018 Czech Republic Mission Team April 6-15 Rick Early, Darla and Larry Meadors, Alyson Dorr, Anna Mee, and Amy Giffin In addition to the usual summer English camp, a new event has been added this spring: a week of afternoon and evening teen camps held at the church. The focus is to draw the teens to the church to see what it is all about. In the mornings, they will be teaching English classes in the school and talking with students. It will be an intense week of ministry, and our prayers of support are greatly needed. FACTS ABOUT THE CZECH REPUBLIC: The Czech is one of the least religious populations in the world and also the third most atheistic population by percentage, behind China and Japan. Because they have been ruled by neighboring countries, they have just recently been their own country. They have difficulty belonging or being a part of something, such as the Body of Christ or the church. Because they were controlled by other countries and systems, there is a mentality of conforming to the masses. They are finding their own identity to step out and be different. Things are improving. It is a slow thawing out from the frozen state that they have been in. Last December, following President Trumps announcement, the Czech President, Milos Zeman, who is known for his pro-israel views, also announced that the Czech embassy will consider moving their embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and recognize Jerusalem as Israel s capital. PRAYER POINTS: Pray that the hearts of the Czech people would be prepared by the Spirit of God. Pray for their receptiveness to the Gospel. Pray for the team s strength and perseverance during the morning and evening activities. Pray for safety in traveling and health. We d love to pray for you! Update our online prayer chain by going to easthaven.org. Click resources, then prayer. Click on share your prayer request and fill out the form.

PRAYING FOR LABORERS IN THE HARVEST: Pray that God would open the eyes of believers and give them hearts of love and compassion for the lost. Matthew 9:27-28, John 4:35, Romans 5:5 Andy and Janet Kerr: Emmaus Encounter, Lakeside Northern Lights : Middle East. Pray for wisdom with future plans of service for family and ministry. Paul : Christian Aid Mission, Central Asia Pray for Paul s safety, effectiveness of translation work, and witness in a hostile environment of unreached Muslim people. Jorene Williams: BCM, After School Bible Club Kveta a Vladimir Zemanov: Vysoke Myto, Czech Republic (See back page) Chris & Kim Baker: Summit Life Church, Whitefish Pray for a Children s Ministry Coordinator. Bruce & Jessica Crockett, Kyle & Marisa Rosas, Steve Crews: Gateway Church. Church Planters: Dave & Amy Carroll, Elevation Church, Billings. Pray for open hearts in the young congregations as they advance the Gospel message and the follow up after Easter. South Asia Project: A trip is being planned for late June. Pray for another man and another woman to fill out the team. On Easter, there were 29 baptisms. God s Kingdom is advancing! Carmen DeVries: Ethnos 360 in Papua New Guinea Pray for open hearts of the people of Menya. The missionaries are sharing the Gospel story starting with Creation. Jake & Katie Oyler: Ethnos 360 in missionary training Be praying for this summer s trip to Indonesia. Zach & Carrie Wolfe: Pioneers Ministry Carrie & Vera will be traveling to Hong Kong April 16-May 7 to assist Carrie s parents at an International Church. Carrie will assist in the women s ministry. Pray for safe travel and that Vera will sleep well. Zach will stay in Orlando. Glacier Bible College: Pray for the funds needed to build the dorms and staff house. Pray for the recruitment of the 20 students needed (we have four applications so far) to start in the Fall of 2018. Persecuted Church: Pray that they will remain joyful amid suffering.
