Let us continue to celebrate new life all around us. It is my hope that each and every one of you had a restful March Break. As we enter the final stretch of this school year, I would like to remind our students to keep working hard and to be the best that they can be everyday while setting realistic goals. During this past Lenten Season, we were reminded to walk with Jesus on a daily basis through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. The Easter Triduum (i.e. the celebration of the Lord s Last Supper on Holy Thursday, His Passion and Death on Good Friday, and his Resurrection on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday) is the most sacred Liturgy of the Church year. This liturgy poignantly teaches as well as celebrates, the love our Savior has to offer to us. All of us nourish the life of God when we share in the Easter sacrament of the Eucharist. Loving God, we have gathered signs Of springtime beauty, joy and rebirth. We ask you to bless these Easter signs That will remind us that Jesus is risen And is with us as He promised, Sharing His life with us And filling our hearts with joy. Amen. May you all have a wonderful Easter with family and friends!

This program is an important element in the development and enhancement of the reading skills of students in grades 1-3 and relies on the dedication of volunteers to be successful. The coaching provided by these adult volunteers contributes significantly to the confidence and skill of our youngest readers. It is also a rewarding experience for our adult volunteers! Coaches are asked to volunteer one hour (more is always appreciated) of your time each week. You determine the day and time you wish to volunteer and we will schedule the assigned children accordingly. (Please note coaches do not read during recess or lunch breaks). Coaches are needed from the beginning of January until the first week in June. If you are interested please contact Mrs. Melanie Toews (SERT) at 905-637-1873 or pick up a form in the main office and submit. All materials and training are provided through the school.
