PARISH SPOTLIGHT We shine the Parish Spotlight on an individual or group who has gone above and beyond for our parish community. This week we shine the spotlight on John Belford for his commitment helping to keep our Churches and Cemeteries in the best condition. John spent hours at Saint Mary s cemetery digging out location markers that needed to be removed and you can find him weekly at one of our Parish buildings working on lights or other tasks. If you see John please shine the spotlight on him for going above and beyond to ensure our buildings are looking their best. FUEL OUTREACH Next Sunday is the final collection in our 2018 Fuel Outreach campaign. Thank you for your generous consideration to support individuals in need during these cold months. Thank you YOUTH GROUP Do you like art but don't know how to draw? 7th-12th grade students are invited to join Bobbie Gardner- Dwyer for no stress, no mess, imaginative, fun drawing projects with lots of patterns, colors, and designs. LIVING STATIONS OF THE CROSS Regional Youth Ministry at Queen of Archangels is sponsoring a Living Stations of the Cross to be performed by youth and young adults from the parishes in our area on Palm Sunday weekend. There will be a show on Saturday, March 24th, at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School. There will also be a show on Sunday, March 25th, at 7 p.m. at Bald Eagle Area High School auditorium. We hope that this meditation will help you to more fully enter the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Our Lord at Holy Week. Admission is free but donations are accepted. God bless always!

Janice Marie Ludlow was baptized and confirmed and welcomed into our Parish Family. Please pray for her continued growth in faith. PALM SUNDAY Next Sunday, March 25 th, is Palm Sunday. We will have the blessing of palms and the solemn procession of the congregation in the church at all weekend Masses. The procession symbolizes our sharing with the people of Jerusalem in joyfully acclaiming Christ our King. Palm Sunday is the start of Holy Week. Please remember in your prayers the family of Mary Baker. May it comfort them to know the parish is thinking of them and praying for the Lord to comfort them during this sad time. IN LOVING MEMORY The Sanctuary candle for the second two weeks of March at Saint Agnes Church is burning in loving memory of James Warner by Wife and Children. The Sanctuary candle for the second two weeks of March at Immaculate Conception Church is burning in loving memory of Katie Lupton Askey by Gram, Dad, and loving family. JOHN 1:4 In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. INTS OF THE WEEK: March 19 - St. Joseph March 23 - St. Turibius of Mogrovejo FAMILIES AND THE GOSPEL John 12:20-33 - Relationships come with a price tag. We must be willing to entrust ourselves to another, to let go of our autonomy and die to our independence. It is in dying to our independence that we find interdependence with others. LOVE, LAUGHTER & LIVING INTS Copies are now available of Fr. Charles J. Cummings book of memories titled, Love, Laughter & Living Saints. The book shares stories form the past 50 years of Fr. Cummings serving as a Priest in the Diocese of Scranton. Get your copy with all 70 Stories for $10 by sending a check to Fr. Charles Cummings, PO Box 3271, Williamsport. PA, 17701. Nook and Kindle E-Book copies are available online for $4.99. THOUGHT OF THE WEEK Lenten Thought: "If, by life rightly led, you wash away the mud that has been put on your heart, the Godlike beauty will again shine out in you. Lent is the time we are called to wash away that mud and replace it with the luster of God." St. Gregory of Nyssa (330-395), Cappadocian Father, Bishop, and mystic. Hailed from a remarkable family - both parents, his sister, and two brothers were canonized as saints. STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION You are like a grain of wheat. Keeping your time, talent, and treasure to yourself yields no harvest. With God s grace we can die to ourselves and bear fruit for His kingdom. When you live for others, the evangelizing mission of Jesus Christ is revealed. Is God calling you to be charitable in a specific way today?
