Foreword I would like to take the time to explain to you some important information about this course: This page will be exactly the same in every lesson so if you have read it already by all means scroll down. 1st The emphasis in all my products is that: You reap what you sow (therefore sow the word of God) And for you to take the scriptures personally (therefore apply them to yourself). So when you read I or me it is not to be read as me the author but as you the reader. 2nd I would hope that it is obvious that the same scriptures apply to all who are in Christ Jesus and it is with great humility that we can take the scriptures personally and apply them to ourselves. 3rd Many of the scriptures used apply to Israel as a nation or to other individuals in the Bible and applying all of them to ourselves may not necessarily be in context however certainly can be used to illustrate the blessings to us personally. 4th I have used the King James Version of the Bible for the scriptures however I also have used the Bible concordance, dictionaries and other translations to expand on the meanings of various words. 5th The whole purpose of this series is to be able to get to the point where we can truly appreciate who we are in Christ. All of the scriptures and affirmations used are designed to help us get to this goal using the principle of we reap what we sow. Page 3

6th All of the scriptures and affirmations mentioned throughout this course are slanted towards highlighting just the positive. This course does not address the issues of wrongdoing and in no way condones or excuses sin but is solely designed to help us understand our full potential in Christ. This is of particular importance to me as I do not want to just tickle your ears because that will not profit you at all. We must get the right balance and that can only come from reading the Bible. There are some serious consequences in just telling you everything is okay when it may not be as the following scripture shows Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:32) It is my great hope that after you see all of the promises of God broken down for you into bite size chunks and understand the awesome benefits of being in Christ Jesus you will be so stirred up that you will only want to serve him and him only. 7th Finally I also hope it is obvious that this course is just the work of a mere mortal man and in no way can replace the Holy Bible in any way. I do hope it serves to help you become a more successful Christian and reap all the benefits that are associated with abiding in Christ. Note: If you complete this entire course you will have a total of 51 lessons jam packed with positive affirmations inspirational Bible verses commentary and a total of more then 200 minutes of affirmations recorded on mp3. Scriptures for Sermons, Group Conversation Starters and Bible Study Justify means: to render righteous, to show one to be righteous, to exhibit one to be righteous, to declare one to be just, to pronounce one to be just. In Romans 3:24 it says I am justified freely by God s grace through the redemption that in Christ Jesus. Acts 13:39 says as a believer I am justified from all things. Romans 3:26 declares Jesus is my justifier. 1 Corinthians 6:11 says I am justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God. Galatians 2:16 says I am justified by the faith of Christ. Galatians 3:24 says I am justified by faith. Titus 3:7 declares that I am justified by his grace. Romans 4:25 explains how Jesus was raised from the dead for my justification. Romans 5:9 says I am justified by the blood of Jesus Christ. Romans 5:18 declares that I have received the justification of life as a free gift from Jesus Christ. Romans 8:33 says it is God who justified me. Page 5

Redeem means: to pay a price (as in a ransom) to recover from the power of another I read in Romans 3:24 that I am justified freely by God s grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:13 says that Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Titus 2:14 says that Jesus gave himself for me that he might redeem me from all iniquity. In Ephesians 1:14 - I am told that the Holy Ghost is the guarantee of my inheritance until the day Jesus comes to take me. Ephesians 4:20 says I am sealed by the Holy Spirit of God until the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:7 says I have redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ, even the forgiveness of sins. Hebrews 9:12 declares that Jesus Christ has obtained eternal inheritance for me. Page 6

I am justified from all things as a believer in Christ Jesus is my justifier I am justified by faith Jesus was raised from the dead for my justification I am justified by the blood of Christ I have received the justification of life It is God who justified me I am justified in the name of the Lord Jesus I am justified by the faith of Christ I am justified by his grace God has rendered me righteous through Jesus Christ God has declared me righteous in Jesus Christ God has pronounced me to be just in Jesus Christ God openly shows and exhibits me as righteous in Jesus Christ Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law I am redeemed from being under the law Christ has redeemed me from all iniquity I have been given the Holy Ghost as a guarantee of my inheritance until Jesus comes to take me (redeem) his purchased possession I am sealed with the Holy Ghost unto the day of redemption I have redemption through the blood of Jesus, even the forgiveness of sins Jesus has obtained eternal redemption for me Not only has Jesus paid the price and ransomed me from the law of sin and death. He has obtained this freedom for me for all eternity. Jesus has paid the price to ransom me from the curse of the law Jesus has paid the price to recover me from all iniquity The blood of Jesus is the price paid as a ransom for the forgiveness of my sins Page 7

I am justified freely by God s grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:24) When studying the Bible I get a huge blessing from what I call the connector words. In the above verse these little connector words are by, through and that is in. By taking a closer look at the connector words you will discover how things work. For example: 1) What is the end result? We are justified freely. 2) How did we become justified? By Gods grace. 3) How did God deliver his grace? Through the redemption. 4) Where is this redemption to be found? That is in Christ Jesus. Let s have a brief look at the meanings of each word: Justified: to render righteous, to exhibit one to be righteous, to declare or pronounce one to be just. Freely: no cost, undeservedly. Grace: good will, loving-kindness, favor, the merciful kindness of God. Redemption: a releasing effected by payment of ransom, deliverance, liberation procured by the payment of a ransom. Some words we do not use that much these days and so we are not very familiar with them Sometimes it helps to play around with the above meanings for each word in order to fully comprehend or even expand our understanding of the scripture Page 8

For example: I am justified, rendered righteous, declare righteous, pronounced to be just and exhibited to be righteous. All the above cost me nothing and I was totally undeserving. I am justified by Gods grace, His good will, His loving-kindness, His favor, and His merciful kindness. I received Gods grace through a ransom price that was paid on my behalf, the payment of this ransom procured my deliverance from my unjust state. The ransom price is in Jesus Christ. Therefore he has paid the price on my behalf. He is my deliverer. Affirmations I am justified I am render righteous I have been declared righteous I have been pronounced to be just I am exhibited to be righteous Even though I did not deserve it God justified me I am justified by Gods grace I am justified by Gods good will I am justified by Gods loving-kindness I am justified by Gods favor I am justified by Gods merciful kindness I have received Gods grace through a ransom price that was paid on my behalf Jesus paid the ransom price on my behalf Jesus is my deliverer Page 9

I am justified from all things as a believer in Christ Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. (Acts 13:38-39) NLT Version: Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God something the law of Moses could never do. NIV Version: Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses. Extracts taken from a sermon by Charles Spurgeon Every believing man is at this present moment perfectly justified before God. You know that Adam was in naked innocence in Paradise and such is every believer and more than that. Adam could talk with God because he was pure from sin, and we also have access with boldness unto God our Father because, through Jesus' blood, we are clean. The man may have been everything that was bad before he believed in Jesus, but as soon as he trusted Christ, the merits of Christ became his merits, and he stands before God as though he were perfect, "without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing," through the righteousness of Christ. The way of reaching this state of justification is not by tears, nor prayers, nor humblings, nor working, nor Bible-reading, nor church-going, nor chapel-going, nor sacraments, nor priestly absolution Page 10

but by faith, which faith is a simple and utter dependence and believing in the faithfulness of God, a dependence upon the promise of God, because it is God's promise, and is worthy of dependence. It is reliance with all our might upon what God has said. I know what the devil will say to you. He will say to you, "You are a sinner!" Tell him you know you are, but that for all that you are justified. He will tell you of the greatness of your sin. Tell him of the greatness of Christ's righteousness. He will tell you of all your mishaps and your backslidings, of your offences and your wanderings. Tell him, and tell your own conscience, that you know all that, but that Jesus Christ came to save sinners, and that, although your sin be great, Christ is quite able to put it all away. Some of you, it seems to me, do not trust in Christ as sinners. You get a mingle-mangle kind of faith. You trust in Christ as though you thought Christ could do something for you, and you could do the rest. I tell you that while you look to yourselves, you do not know what faith means. For so it is: you stand before God as accepted as Christ is accepted: and notwithstanding the inbred sin and corruption of your heart, you are as dear to God as Christ is dear, and as accepted in the righteousness of Christ as Christ is accepted in his own obedience. "We are justified by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ." There is the foundation: there is the mainspring. There is the tree that bears the fruit. We are justified by faith, but not by faith of itself. Faith in itself is a precious grace, but it cannot in itself justify us. It is "through our Lord Jesus Christ." Page 11

Affirmations I have been declared right with God I have been set free from every sin I am at this very moment perfectly justified before God In Christ Jesus his merits have become my merits I have a simple and utter dependence believing in the faithfulness of God I totally depend on Gods promise I know the greatness of my sin but I know Christ righteousness is greater I stand before God as accepted as Christ is accepted I am as dear to God as Christ is dear Jesus is my justifier To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:26) Please bring me before Jesus We are all familiar with the story of the woman caught in the very act of adultery. The story can be found (John 8:1-11) How fortunate was this woman? Jesus had come to the temple and many people had gathered to hear him speak when all of a sudden the religious leaders dragged this woman in before them all. At any other time if Jesus hadn t been around they would have just gone right ahead and stoned this woman to death. That is why I say how fortunate was she? Page 12

Because the religious leaders wanted to find away to accuse Jesus she was dragged in front of him. What a marvelous response by Jesus. He who is without sin cast the first stone. The religious leaders dragged her before Jesus trying to vindicate their position and that is why I say, Please drag me before Jesus. If you have anything against me please drag me before the Lord. If you are outraged and think I should be punished please drag me before Jesus. Jesus is my justifier. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.(romans 4:5) He justifies the ungodly. Just like that woman just like you and me there are many people in the world struggling under the burden of sin. They are unclean, unrighteous, unjust, and ungodly with no hope. Don t throw stones at them. Bring them before Jesus because he can wash them clean. He can justify the ungodly. He can exchange their unclean for clean, their unrighteousness for righteousness, he can change them from unjust to just, from ungodly to godly, and from a no hoper to a hoper. Bring them before Jesus, and bring your own faults before Jesus. Don t try to hide them, confess them before him and he will cleanse you from all sin. What an incredible calling we have to be a partaker of such a thing? Page 13

I am justified by faith Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:3) We have previously discussed being justified by faith so in this section let us take a look at the crowning glory that is produced by this justification. What is it? We have peace with God There are many different meanings for the word peace given in the concordance including: peace between individuals, harmony, concord, security, safety, and prosperity. However the following terrific phrase is offered as well: The tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot, of whatsoever sort that is. Through Jesus Christ we actually have peace with God. Just take some time out to think about how enormous that is. When sin is put away, God has nothing against us: Christ has put our sins away, and now there is a peace established between God and our souls. If God has punished Christ in my stead, he will not punish me again. So we really are in the situation of fearing nothing from God and content with our earthly lot, of whatsoever sort that is. Page 14

The following scripture declares: The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds, through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7) Affirmations I have been set free from every sin I have peace with God I have security with God I have safety with God I have prosperity with God I am assured of salvation through Christ I have nothing to fear from God and I am content with whatever my earthly lot is Jesus put my sins away God has nothing against me There is peace established between me God through Christ God has punished Christ in my stead he will not punish me again I have the peace of God that surpasses all understanding Quote by D.L.Moody A great many people are trying to make peace, but that has already been done. God has not left it for us to do; all we have to do is to enter into it. Page 15

Jesus was raised from the dead for my justification Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. (Romans 4:25) Jesus resurrection is glorious in the results it produced: In death he discharged our debt and the resurrection was for our justification. The fullness of salvation comes to us because he has risen from the dead, and he is now making intercession for us. I am justified by the blood of Christ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:9) Stains are hard to remove. Just do a search online for stain removal and see all the results. There are all sorts of advice for a myriad of different stains such as: oil stains, wine stains, underarm stains, pet stains and on and on it goes. However there is another stain and there is only one substance in existence that can remove it. That stain is sin and only the blood of Jesus Christ can remove the otherwise irremovable stain. The blood can only be found inside the body of Jesus Christ and the only way you can have the sin stained removed is to access that life giving blood. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13) Page 16

I have received the justification of life Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. (Romans 5:18) In Adam we all die, in Christ we all live. All anyone needs to do is transfer their place of residence from the natural man the first Adam, to the spiritual man Jesus Christ the second Adam. In Christ is the justification of life. We were all guilty and the penalty of sin is death we were indeed condemned. But the free gift is the justification of life. (The act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him) It is God who justified me Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. (Romans 8:33) Extract from Charles Spurgeon: The justification which comes from God himself must be beyond question. If the Judge acquits me, who can condemn me? If the highest court in the universe has pronounced me just, who shall lay anything to my charge? Justification from God is a sufficient answer to an awakened conscience. The Holy Spirit by its means breathes peace over our entire nature, and we are no longer afraid. Page 17

I am justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11) Once again we see God justifies the ungodly. There are some horribly wicked things written here and Paul acknowledges that such were some of you but now, in Christ you are justified. I am justified by the faith of Christ Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (Galations 2:16) And just in case it hasn t sunk in yet here we see once more we can not earn our salvation we owe it all to Jesus Christ and we totally depend upon his faith. I am justified by his grace That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:7) We covered the wonderful aspects of grace in lesson #2 Page 18

Summary of other meanings for justified God has rendered me righteous through Jesus Christ The word render has a variety of meaning such as to present, make available, etc. However one such meaning is to coat bricks with cement. We called it cement rendering when I used to do it for someone I worked for many years ago. You see I used to work for this guy and things were quiet so he got us to cement render the outside of his house. He was going to sell his house and wanted to increase the value. The house looked run down with old bricks and wasn t very appealing at all. But we covered those bricks with the cement render and after it dried we then painted it white. It looked like a brand new house. Jesus is the cement render and we are the old bricks. He has covered our faults in the site of God. God has pronounced me to be just in Jesus Christ Pronounced means: strongly marked; easily noticeable; "walked with a marked limp" The children of Israel were protected from the angel of death on the Passover because they were strongly marked they had the blood of the lamb on their doorposts. It was pronounced, obvious, and easily noticeable and so the angel of death passed over them. In our time now we too are strongly marked by the blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ. I couldn t help be taken back by the phrase "walked with a marked limp", and how it ties in with Jacob wrestling with an Angel until he got the blessing and his thigh was out of joint. Page 19

God openly shows and exhibits me as righteous in Jesus Christ In an art gallery only the artist greatest works get displayed and we see God exhibits us to be righteous in Christ. He puts us on show as demonstration of what he can do. How he can transform a very ordinary and ruined canvas into a piece of fine art. We are Gods workmanship. Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law Christ hath redeems us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree. (Galations 3:13) Christ took my curse upon himself. The curse of the law is death. The law is a good and a great guide for living godly however it is impossible for any human being to go through life without at least breaking one of the laws once which results in death. I dare say none of us could go through one day without falling short. It is impossible for us to be saved without a savior. The law clearly demonstrates to us how weak we are in the flesh and how dependent we are on Jesus Christ. Page 20

I am redeemed from being under the law To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. (Galations 4:5) Even the phrase under the law sounds heavy. It is like being squashed by a huge rock whereas Christ takes us out from under the rock and allows us to stand upon the rock instead. And because he has rescued us from being under the law we now get to rejoice in the massive blessing of being adopted into Gods family. Christ has redeemed me from all iniquity Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:14) Iniquity: Perversity, depravity, sin, guilt, absence of spiritual or moral values He purchased us to get us out of those things and he paid the full price to deliver us from ALL iniquity. Purify: Cleanse Peculiar People: A people selected by God from the other nations for his own possession NKJV: purify for Himself His own special people NIV:purify for himself a people that are his very own Jesus has purchased us to be his own possession, he has cleansed us, and he has set us apart to be his own special people. Page 21

I have been given the Holy Ghost as a guarantee of my inheritance until Jesus comes to (redeem) his purchased possession In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14) The old English can be hard to understand but when you break down what is being said here you can t help but praise God for his mercy. We are sealed with the holy Spirit of promise: NLT: he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago NIV: you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession: NKJV: Which is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory NLT: The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. NIV: Who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God s possession Page 22

Jesus has sealed you he has identified you as one of his own you are marked in him. What has he sealed you with? The Holy Spirit of promise which is his guarantee his pledge his deposit that guarantees. What is it a guarantee of? That he will come back and collect his purchased possession that he will give us the inheritance he has promised. All of this was paid for through the blood of Jesus In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (Colossians 1:14) Jesus has secured our redemption forever Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
