Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 10:00 am Worship Service July 22, 2018 Ninth Sunday After Pentecost Now the Feast and Celebration Mark s gospel makes clear how great was the press of the crowd, with its countless needs to be met, on Jesus and his disciples. Yet in today s gospel Jesus advises his disciples to get away and rest, to take care of themselves. Sometimes we think that when others are in great need we shouldn't think of ourselves at all; but Jesus also honors the caregivers need. We are sent from Christ s table to care for others and for ourselves.
Welcome members and guests to our worship service today. If you are visiting, we encourage you to sign the guest register located in the narthex. Each pew contains cards that you may fill out if you wish to consult with the pastor or provide additional information about yourself. A nursery is available for children up to five years of age during the service. The nursery is located off the hallway on the Huntington Avenue side of the church building. There are also activity bags available for older children to enjoy during the service. Please ask an usher about borrowing one. Parents are invited to bring children from the nursery for Holy Communion to receive a blessing. If children become restless or noisy during worship, parents are encouraged to take them in to and out of the sanctuary as necessary.
