Andrew Jackson has had 3 nicknames during his life. His first was Old Hickory. He got this name for his toughness as a general in the war of 1812. His second was Jackass. This one was received by his enemies. Whoever hated him called him this. Also, he was named King Andrew because some people thought he was too powerful. N: Nickname

Because of his toughness and bravery in the War of 1812, Andrew Jackson was nicknamed Old Hickory. This was a nickname that stuck with him through his time as a general. O: Old Hickory

Andrew Jackson was very powerful. He would always intimidate people to get them on his side. He also would act very furious in meetings so people would choose his side. P: Powerful

In 1824, Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams both ran for president. Andrew Jackson won more votes, but had fewer electoral votes. Andrew Jackson ended up beating Adams. Adams ran again in 1828 and beat Andrew Jackson. Q: Quincy

Rachael Jackson was Andrew Jackson s only wife. She had no children at all. She lived from June 15, 1767 to December 22, 1828. She was from Virginia. R: Rachael

Andrew Jackson was a very serious man. He made sure that he was running the nation the right way and that everyone agreed. Andrew Jackson did not let anyone take him for granite.

Andrew Jackson served as a general in the War of 1812. Thins was a major war between the Americans and the British. This happened during British s ongoing battle with France.

To expand his political base, Andrew Jackson expanded the spoils system. He also expanded and strengthened the power of the presidency.

As a young man, Andrew Jackson studied law. He made money after his parents died from trading crops and furs.

Andrew Jackson had zero tolerance for people, especially his enemies. He either liked you or didn t and if he didn t than he vowed to crush them.
