FROM OUR PASTOR S HEART Ah... the summertime excitement! This Saturday the first of our High School graduations begin. This marks not only the end of school, but the beginning of our summer programming here at church. Amusement parks, camps, VBS, mission trips, pool parties and much more will greet our students and attempt to help them grow closer together and closer to the Lord. It is during the summer months where our children, youth & adults will renew their passions, experience God moving in their lives, and for some it will be the first time they accept Christ as Lord and Savior. Truly these weeks will be life-changing and times of celebration and excitement. This summer we will try to help our children, youth & adults to identify where God is at work, and allow them to be molded and shaped by Him to accomplish His purposes. They face a lot of challenges and obstacles in their lives each day. It is important for them to be grounded in Christ, and willing to be bold in their walk with Him. Over the next few weeks, I want to ask you to pray for: (1) Summer Camps *June 26 30 Middle School/High School at Crossings Camps at Cedarmore *July 9 13 3rd-6th Graders at Centri-Kid in Georgetown, KY Harlan Shoe Project the heartbeat page 2 (2) Mission Trips *June 16 23 Mission Trip to Guatemala *July 16 20 Mission Trip to Harlan County (3) Our adult volunteers *To be energized, encouraging and faithful to serving the needs of our children and youth. (4) Our children and youth *To be bold in following God, growing in their faith, and responding to His call. (5) Our adults *To faithfully serve the church, our community and all they come in contact with, as well as seek to follow His direction. Finally, a word of thanks for all of you for praying, working at our fundraisers, giving scholarships, bringing in supplies, and being encouragers to our children and youth. Because of your faithfulness and hard-work, we are part of God s plan for their lives for the summer! Thanks for being part of this process! Running with Him, Lee Meadows Pastor for Youth 502.695.3734 502.330.5734 lee@memorialfrankfort.com
