Exploring a Relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church The Holy Mothers Collaborative is fortunate to have Peter Schirripa, a visiting seminarian from Saint John s Seminary, spending the summer with us. Peter has offered to host a summer study series called The Crux. The purpose of The Crux is to invite participants to make Jesus Christ the center of their lives. The title of this study comes from the Latin word crux which means cross. The word crux also refers to a place of decision or turning point. The Crux will allow participants to gaze upon the cross of Jesus Christ and come to a decision about Him in their own lives. By the end, everyone will understand who Jesus is and how to share the Gospel with others. The Crux is a four week study that will meet on Tuesday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. on July 10, 17, 24, & 31. There will also be a Wednesday evening session from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. on July 11, 18, 25, & August 1. This study is free and there are no materials to purchase or bring. Please register at HolyMothers.com. HOLY MOTHERS COLLABORATIVE LIBRARY The Holy Mothers Collaborative Library is located in the hospitality area of Saint Mary's Church (just off the back parking lot), and is a great way to grow in your faith throughout the year. The library is a free lending library of Catholic and Christian books. The procedure to borrow a book is very simple: sign out a book and return it when you are finished no overdue fines.

Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time July 8, 2018 RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (Grades 1 through 5) Coordinators: Maura Dowling & Karen Gill Secretary: Sarah McCrann Religious Ed. Office: (781) 826-2351 or reled@holymothers.com Special thanks to School Year Registration all who helped to Don t forget to register for grade 1 through 9 make our Summer Fall Religious Education! Religious Education a success. We could This Week in the Gospel not have done it without you! The readings this week tell of spreading the Summer Religious Education We had another wonderful session of Summer Religious Education. The children did an excellent job participating, singing, and learning about their faith. As we said last week, our focus was on Progress not Perfection this year. We discussed how God designed us all specifically, each possessing a special gift/ talent. Although some of us may share this same gift of intelligence, kindness, athleticism, it is how we share these gifts with others that make us unique. We asked the children as they continue on with their summer vacation to remember this thought and continue to BUILD someone else up. The reward will be priceless. See you at Church! Good News, and that it is not an easy task. The prophet Ezekiel is afraid to preach to people who he thinks will not believe him. Paul does not immediately become perfect when he begins to follow Christ, but he learns that when you feel the weakest, God is with you then even more than when you feel strong. People didn t even listen to Jesus in his own town, people did not respect him when he came back preaching because they had known him since he was a child. So, when you are afraid, or think you can t do the right thing, ask for Jesus to help, and he will always be there. He will always help you to Tell the News in your words and, more importantly, in your actions toward others.
