On arrival at Varanasi Airport you will be met and assisted by our company executive and transferred to your hotel for check in. The city of Varanasi along the western bank of the Ganges in Uttar Pradesh is an incredibly important pilgrimage centre for Hindus. This city which even finds mention in the great epics of Mahabharata and Ramayana was a prosperous trade center in 500 BC. According to Mark Twain, Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together. Varanasi stands as a symbol of the Hindu renaissance and preserves the traditions of Hindu philosophy. Summers are quite harsh in Varanasi with temperatures soaring up to 45 C. The monsoons set in by late June or early July, bringing torrential rains and high humidity. Winters are quite pleasant with temperatures around 20 C. In the evening, get ready to experience one of the most memorable moments of your life, as you will be taken for a boat ride on the River Ganges. Enjoy Ganga Aarti. Get a glimpse of the spiritualism at the Ganga Ghats (river front). Night stay at Hotel in Varanasi. Day 2 : Varanasi - Sarnath Bodhgaya (300 Kms 6 Hrs) Day 2 : Varanasi Morning Boat Ride - Sarnath Bodhgaya (300 Kms 6 Hrs)

Early morning, we will be taken for a boat ride on the Ganges. It is a mystical and spiritual experience as you watch people offering water to the Sun God and devotees taking holy dip in the Ganges. Experience the different Ghats of Varanasi. Each ghats has his own history and Hinduism value.come back to hotel for breakfast. Latter we will be taken for an excursion to Sarnath. Buddha delivered his first sermon, formed Sangha, the association and set in motion the Wheel of Law (Dharmachakra Pravartana). The teachings of Middle way i.e. giving up the extremes of either luxury or asceticism; four noble truths and eightfold path found their way in Sarnath through Lord Buddha. Attractions. Dhamekha stupa- Exploring Dhamekha Stupa is an intrinsic part of Sarnath Tour. Built around 500 A.D., the Stupa commemorates the site of first discourse that Lord Buddha delivered after his enlightenment to the first five followers. Emperor Ashoka during his tour to Sarnath erected this stupa to commemorate the site. Many worshippers circumambulate the round stupa structure and offer their respects to the site where Buddha established Sangha in Buddhism Chaukhandi Stupa Chaukhandi Stupa is another attraction of Sarnath Tour. This large ruined stupa enshrines the relics of Lord Buddha s mortal remains and serves as a must visit site for Buddhist followers. Asokan Pillar The Ashokan Pillar of Sarnath is a great way to see the inspiration behind the emblem of India, the four sculpted lions seated back to back on a plinth featuring a 24 spoke wheel chakra. The Pillar also is a record in stone illustrating the visit of Ashoka to Sarnath Later drive to Bodhgaya, check-in at hotel & Overnight stay in Bodhgaya. Day 3 : Bodhgaya

After breakfast, visit - a place of the Buddha's Enlightenment, Bodhgaya is the spiritual home of Buddhists. Bodhgaya situated near the river Niranjana, is one of the holiest Buddhist. MAHABODHI TEMPLE One of the four sites related deeply to Lord Buddha, Mahabodhi Temple is constructed on the exact location where Siddhartha Gautama gained enlightenment. Towards the west of the holy temple is the holy Bodhi Tree (Banyan Tree). Under the Bodhi Tree, there is a stone platform called Vajrasana, on which Buddha is believed to have sat in meditation. The present day Mahabodhi Temple dates back to 5th century. Made entirely in bricks, the temple's edifice proclaims to the world the efforts of the Buddha to resolve human miseries, to rise above worldly worries and to achieve uplifting peace through wisdom, good conduct and disciplined life. 80 FT STATUE OF BUDDHA Though the entire Bodhgaya is blessed with Buddha's presence, but the colossal statue of The Great Buddha in meditative calm (dhyana mudra) while seated on a giant lotus is truly inspiring. This tallest statue in the country is made from a mix of sandstone blocks and red granite. MONASTERIES Buddhism is popular not only in India but in various other countries like Sri Lanka, Japan, China, Burma, Vietnam, Nepal, Korea, Tibet, Thailand and many more. At Bodhgaya, the presence of monasteries from each of the countries states the popularity of the religion. They also act as centers of religious learning, conduct meditations, spiritual camps and provide accommodation to the pilgrims. Sujata Village Sujata Village (Senani Village), the next Buddhist site marks the location where the young maiden, Sujata offered the rice milk bowl and ended Sakyamuni s hard asceticism. This incident also inspired him to walk on a Middle Path in every front of life. Such is the glory of Sujata Village. Here, the exact site where he received the offering is marked by Sujata Temple. Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Bodhgaya.

Day 04:- Bodhagaya-Nalanda Rajgir- Kushinagar (450Km- 08 Hrs.) After breakfast, proceed to Kushinagar en route drive for Rajgir, the capital of the Magadha kingdom and is a pilgrimage for Jains and Hindus as well. The Japanese Buddhists have built the massive Vishwashanti Stupa on the Ratnagiri Hill which can be accessed by a chairlift. The stupa has statues of Buddha at the four stages of his life - birth, enlightenment, teaching and death. From the hill top, the Jain shrines can also be viewed scattered across

26 distant hills. Griddhakuta, located on Ratnagiri Hill is another site where Budhha stopped by to preach. Latter visit Nalanda.( Spread over 14 hectares, the Nalanda University Ruins Archaeological Complex is set amidst expansive lawns which offset the spectacular layout and carvings of this ancient university. The monasteries and the viharas are separated by a central valley. Interesting structures to look out for include: steps leading up to perhaps a dais for professors and stupas with images of the Buddha carved in. According to the Chinese traveler Xuan Zang who also taught at the university during 685AD and 762 AD, 10,000 monks and professors resided here at the time. After the walk around the ruins, visit the Xuan Zang Memorial Hall, a Chinese pagoda built by Chinese Buddhists.)Later drive to Kushinagar,Check-in at hotel & Overnight stay in Kushinagar. Day 5 : Kusinagar- Lumbini 180 KM, 4 hrs The ancient town of Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh gets its name from Kusha the son of the Legendary God king Ram who founded and ruled the city. The archeological findings in the town date back to the 3rd century BC and belong to the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka.
