A Message from our Pastor Fear Not When you hear the word angel, what the first s image that comes to your mind? Do you think of a little cute cherub or have feelings of serenity and peace? Whenever you go into a store or look at images of angels they are mostly brilliant in color, beautiful in appearance, and something to be admired not feared. If our only view on angels was what we see on holiday cards, then why is there so much fear in the world including the holidays? The thing with fear is it comes the moment when we are about to step out in faith and join God in living out His plans. During this Christmas season, I will be doing a four-week series entitled Fear Not. Each week will focus on the angel s visits to Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds of Bethlehem. In each encounter the person(s) is terrified, God s angel in response to the fear says, Do not be afraid or fear not. My prayer is that God will use this series to help assure you that God will always give you faith to follow Him and the strength to overcome the fears of this life. Merry Christmas, Pastor Kurt Together Transform Tell 2
