Volume 1 Issue 5 Pella One Page 2 Thank you s I would like to let you know about all of the wonderful members of Pella One, who donated their time and talents to help tell 80+ first graders about the love of Jesus! Judy De Vries, Darlene Keuning, Tamie Schutte and Morgan Meinders served as teachers! Fred Van Den Broek helped with transportation and served a small group helper this year! Brock Meinders helped with recreation and was quite popular with the children, as evidenced by how many times he got wet! Emma Keuning was able to come four out of the five days and served in various areas. A huge thank you to those who donated items and money. VBS was a huge success again this year! Thank you for your prayers throughout the week and for your words of support. ~Blessings, Miss Leanna, your VBS coordinator Thank you to those who came out in June to help us trim some more trees, and get rid of some of the large broken limbs. I truly appreciate it! (Dad would too, if he had known what was going on.) Also, thank you to those volunteers who are helping me with the mowing again this year. As my new brother-in-law said, You have a great church family! Blessings, Miss Leanna Dear Church Family, With a grateful heart, thank you to everyone for your prayers, visits, cards, food and well wishes! These deeds of Christian compassion certainly helped in my speedy recovery from my knee surgery. ~ Marge Kuiper We want to thank everyone who has shown us kindness, and support over the last three months. Thanks to the Cadet boys who offered a prayer as life flight was leaving for Iowa City. Thanks to Pastor Brad who came to Iowa City and waited with us all night and for all of his many visits to Iowa City, Younker s Rehab, and Pella Hospital. We appreciated all the visits, flowers, phone calls, certificates, from Care and Share, and the quilt from the Happy Quilters, ~ especially all the many prayers that were said for us. Above all, thanks to our Heavenly Father for healing. Andy has been home for three weeks. It is such a privilege to be part of such a caring church. ~ Andy and Mary Ellen Uitermarkt YACS is meeting through the summer months! They are doing three different service projects, one of which is their mission trip. They are still looking for monetary donations towards the cost of the mission trip. Thank you for all of your support and prayers! July 7-13 ~ Mission trip to Loveland, Colorado July 25 ~ meeting August 4 ~ Service project at Al and Barb s 50th Wedding Anniversary August 8 ~ final summer meeting

Please save the following date: ~ August 5, 2018 We will be worshipping in West Market Park on those dates, and will be serving breakfast again! ~ From your Mission and Evangelism Committee Pastor Brad and his family will be on vacation July 9-15. If you have any needs or concerns, please contact your shepherding elder or deacon. Recently, a crew of deacons, their children, and our church family members were at my home once again. We had a lot of tree limbs down again! Have I mentioned how much mom loved her trees! My sister and brother-in-law were able to come and help this time too. Louis remarked, after everyone had left, that we have an awesome church family. I know I have said this before, but it bears repeating. I am so thankful for each and every one of you! I thank God every time I think of the many ways my life has been touched by each member of our church family. I feel that we truly have a loving, caring body of believers. I often brag about my church family to my family and friends! If there is ever anything you need in the way of baked goods or a meal, please do not hesitate to let me know. I am never too busy to bake! Enjoy your summer break! I thank my God every time I remember you. ~ Philippians 1:3 ~ Blessings, Miss Leanna Ps Only two more months until football season!!!! Not that I am excited or anything.

Here is a letter that the YACS received from the child they are sponsoring. You cannot see it very well, but she drew them a picture of an elephant!
