Call to Worship: Deut 30:16, 19; 1 Cor 3:7, 9 We are God s people, walking together. Let us choose the way of the Lord, and live. We are God s servants, working together. It is the Lord who makes us live and grow. *Hymn: #300 "We Are One in the Spirit" *Prayer of Adoration *The Lord s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. Call to Confession Prayer of Confession God of glory, we confess that we have not sought your face.

We look to false gods for help and turn away from you. We say yes to what is evil and no to what is good. Forgive us; give us grace. Help us to resist temptation and choose a better way: to show the wonder of your love in Jesus Christ our Lord. (silent prayers) Assurance of Pardon *Sung Response: #175 vss 1-2 Seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Allelu, alleluia! Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and the door shall the opened unto you. Allelu, alleluia! Prayer for Illumination PROCLAIM GOD S WORD

Old Testament Lesson: Deuteronomy 30:11-20 Page: OT 186 Anthem: "Prayer and Alleluia" Christopher The Choir Create in me a clean heart, renew my spirit as from the start. And keep me close, right by Your side, Take not Thy holy Spirit from me. Alleluia. Amen. A Scripture Conversation Gospel Lesson: Matthew 5:21-37 Page: NT 4 Sermon: "Our Daily Choice" *Hymn: #307 "God of Grace and God of Glory" *An Affirmation of Faith: Confession of 1967, 9.17 We believe life is a gift to be received with gratitude and a task to be pursued with courage. We are free to seek our life within the purpose of God: to develop and protect the resources of nature for the common welfare, to work for justice and peace in society, and in other ways to use God's creative powers for the fulfillment of human life.

GIVE THANKS TO GOD Offerings of Tithes and Gifts Offertory Reception of Offerings by Ushers *Presentation *Doxology (#717) For the life that you have given, for the love in Christ made known, with these fruits of time and labor, with these gifts that are your own: here we offer, Lord, our praises; heart and mind and strength we bring; give us grace to love and serve you, living what we pray and sing. *Prayer of Thanks Pastoral Prayers GO IN GOD S NAME *Hymn: #700 "I'm Gonna Live So God Can Use Me" *Charge and Benediction
