St. Mary Church Mass Schedule Saturday 4:30pm Sunday 7:00am and 10:00am Tuesday at 6:00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:30am Sacrament of Reconciliation at St. Mary Church First Friday 7:00-7:25am Saturday 3:30-4:10pm *On Saturdays when there are weddings, there will be no confessions. Anointing of the Sick: Notify the parish office if there is a need for Fr Erbacher to administer Anointing of the Sick. Sacrament of Baptism: Baptisms will take place the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month with Fr. Erbacher or Deacon John. Call the Parish Office to make an appointment. Sacrament of Marriage: Parishioners who wish to be married at St. Mary Church are asked to contact the parish office six months prior to setting a date. This will provide time for prayer, preparation and paperwork. Homebound Parishioners: Communion calls are made on Monday mornings to parishioners homes. Call the parish office if you would like a visit from our Eucharistic Minister. Gift Bearers: If you would like to carry up the gifts at offertory, please let the ushers know. St Mary Church Picnic - September 10 Group quilt money can be sent in at any time. Not on a group? New people are always need to fill groups. A $35 donation is all it takes - no quilting required. If you have a group quilt at home, please bring it to the parish office so we can get ready for the quilt show. Grab Bags - Start looking for summer bargains - you can drop these items off at the parish office. Check out Walgreens and CVS summer clearance sales. Country Store - We have room in our freezers for fruit for the goodies that are made for the country store or make your jelly and we will store that until picnic time. Look for bargains on sugar, flour, nuts and throw away pans. We will be glad to store these items too. If you visit other summer socials in the area, check their theme basket stand out and get some ideas. Some ideas: car care, movie baskets, gift cards basket, cooking basket, game baskets, homemade jelly and jam basket, etc. We have had so many great baskets in the past, looking forward to this year s picnic theme basket ideas. Volunteers - Our picnic is one of the best in the area, if not the best, but we are always looking for new ideas and volunteers. Stand Chairmen your workers list should be coming to you soon. St. John Bosco Catholic Youth Ministry reaches out to youth in grades six through twelve from Holy Family Parish, Precious Blood Parish, St. Joseph Parish and St. Mary Parish. We invite young people to receive Jesus Christ s love and mercy through experiences, relationships, and prayer. Please spend an hour with Jesus. The Adoration Chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are being called to pray at anytime of the day, please know that you are welcome to spend some prayer time in the Adoration Chapel. The Chapel is located in the Parish Center on the campus of Precious Blood Parish. New adorers and substitutes are always welcome. If you feel you would like to have a set day and time to pray and be in the Presence of God, please send an email, call or text. The length of time you spend with Jesus is totally up to you. You may bring your own prayer books, use the books in the chapel, read the Bible, pray the Rosary or just sit, relax, and enjoy the sweet peace that comes from. All are welcome to attend the games. The Ireland K of C will have concessions available. The tourney starts on Saturday at 2:00pm. The final game is scheduled for 4:00pm Sunday. Pairings for the first round are: Saturday 2:00pm Saturday 3:00pm Saturday 4:00pm Cubs - Cardinals Dodgers - Giants Orioles - Mets The Reds drew the bye and play at 6:00pm Saturday. On August 5, St. Mary Parishioners will cook and serve the Community Meal. Volunteers are needed. We are looking for someone to help co-ordinate the serving shift with Stan Epple. Call Stan at 812-630-6212 for more information. St. Mary serves the Community Meal the first Saturday of August, November, February and May. Please pray about becoming involved in this ministry. Please help us defray the cost of postage by picking up your Religious Education Registration form in the back of church and returning it back to us by August 7th. Ireland Elementary kids will begin classes on Tuesday, August 15th and Middle School/High School classes will begin Wednesday, September 13th. More Catechists are always needed and welcomed to join our team. We have a great number of youth that attend our program. Lessons plans are ready for you and very easy to follow.
