FROM THE TEE BOX A Few Thoughts from Our Pastor Dear Friends: From the Tee Box! May 30-31, 2015 Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity A Few Symbols of the Most Holy Trinity This weekend we celebrate another milestone in our parish community. Father Matthew Graham, a long time parishioner of Saint Jude, was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Baton Rouge this Saturday at Saint Joseph Cathedral. Matthew was ordained along with his two classmates, Fathers Brad Doyle and Reuben Dykes. Effective July 1, Father Matthew will start his first assignment at Christ the King Parish on the LSU campus, Father Brad at Saint George, and Father Reuben at Holy Family in Port Allen. Father Matthew celebrates his first Mass here at Saint Jude this Sunday (today) at 11:30am. On behalf of our entire community I extend our congratulations to all 3 of these young men, and especially to Matthew and his parents, Rick and Pat. I would like to also offer our thanks to Charmaine Biossat, Veronica Winchester, and Louis Benedetto for their roles in planning the reception and music for Mass, as well as the countless parishioners working with them, and, of course, our Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters. Truly, this is a weekend of many blessings. Have a great week! Sincerely, Fr. Trey Nelson Pastor
