We give thanks that there is a small spark of God within us. People: Kindle that small spark into a flame of love and service. Leader: Sustaining God, we gather in your name to worship you. We celebrate the loving presence of God in our life. People: May God s loving presence be a strong influence in our life. Leader: Nurturing God, we gather in your name to worship you. We rejoice that God teaches us about love and forgiveness. People: As we grow in faith, trust and love for God, may our worship, witness and service bring honor to God s Holy Name. Prayer of Invocation Children s Message Children Dismissed for Sunday School New Testament Text Colossians 1:11-20 (NIV) being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in 15 whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Leader This is the Word of the Lord! People Thanks be to God! * Gloria Patri Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

Pastoral Prayer / Lord s Prayer July 19th- Candle Lighting Dedicated: To celebrate Allie Burgess, Kasen Walker and Mike Piper s birthdays and in loving memory of parents, Walter & Frieda Grace and Lester & Esther Korsch. Sharing of our Tithes and Offerings / Offertory * Doxology Praise God from whom all blessings flow, Praise Him all creatures here below, Praise Him above ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen * Offertory Prayer * Hymn of Preparation Great Is Thy Faithfulness # 43 Old Testament Text Psalm 139:1-18 (NRSV) O LORD, you have searched me and known me. 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. 3 You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even before a word is on my tongue, O LORD, you know it completely. 5 You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge 7 is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it. Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, 10 even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me fast. 11 If I 12 say, Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light around me become night, even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light to you. 13 For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother s womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes beheld my unformed substance. In your book were written all the days that were formed for me, when none of them as yet existed. 17 How weighty to 18 me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! I try to count them they are more than the sand; I come to the end I am still with you. Sermon All Things Beautiful Pastor Scott Schieber * Closing Hymn I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry Insert * Benediction / Benediction Response Rejoice In the Lord Always # 469 Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice! Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice! Rejoice, Rejoice, again I say rejoice! Rejoice, rejoice, again I say rejoice! Postlude

If you have children -Newborn pre-school (pre-school means that your child will not start kindergarten in the next school year) you may choose to put your child in our nursery during the worship service. To get to our nursery, exit the sanctuary, proceed straight through the narthex, pass the bathrooms, and turn right down the long corridor. The nursery is the 3 rd door on the right. In the nursery, your child will be cared for by a volunteer from the church. If your child is old enough, there are Biblical activities that will be shared. -Pre-k 1st Grade (pre-k means that your child will start kindergarten in the upcoming school year) your child is invited to Sunday School in with our BUGs (Born Under God s Sun), which meets in the basement. To get to the basement, exit the sanctuary, go down the steps, and turn left and find the doorway which leads to the steps leading into the basement. The BUGS receive a Biblical lesson, usually the same scriptures we discover in our worship service and do some activities around the scripture lesson. Sunday School ends shortly after our worship service ends. -2 nd Grade 6 th Grade your child is invited to Sunday School with our TIGERs (Trusting In God for Every Reason), which meets in the basement.
