Tabernacle Place ten index cards on the floor face down and in mixed order. Each card has one letter of the word TABERNACLE on it. Divide your group into two teams. Tell them the winning team will be the one who can turn over the cards one by one in the correct sequence to spell TABERNACLE. For example: when a person on Team A correctly answers a question, he turns over a card. If he turns over a B, he cannot continue since it is not the first letter of the word TABERNACLE. The card is then turned so the letter is not visible. However, if he turns over a T, he may turn over another card. If it is an A, he may continue with a third card. If at any time the letter is out of sequence, he stops and turns over the incorrect card. Team B is now given the chance to finish spelling, and so on back and forth until it is spelled correctly. This verse is found in the book of John, chapter 10, verse 9. Jesus is talking in this verse. He says that He is the door. You must go through Him to get to God and to be able to live forever with Him in Heaven someday. If any man, woman, boy, or girl trusts in Jesus for their salvation from sin, something will happen... If you believe in Jesus and what He did when He died for you on the cross, He will forgive you and make you part of His family. He promises that you will live forever with Him in Heaven when your life here is over. The book of John, chapter 10, verse 9. DRILL the verse with the activity listed on the Tabernacle #1 Agenda. TEST the children for their understanding of the verse. Who is the only way to Heaven? How can you be saved? CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP OF EASTERN PA, INC. P.O. BOX 4375 HARRISBURG, PA 17111-0375

On you, point to self. On obey, move arm to make a large O in the air. On willingly, put both hands over heart. Say, Hold up your fingers to show me how old you are. Squint your eyes as Phinehas might have done. Move arm, as Moses beckoning, and call, Come closer. As Phinehas, whisper together, He does not even know his face is shining. Cut down tree. Drag or carry wood to Moses. Reach into pockets or safe-keeping places to find gold, silver, and precious stones. Carry them to Moses. Say, Show me with your fingers how many ways there are to God. BIBLE LEARNING GAME: The Way to God Have children stand in a circle. Choose two children to stand in the center with arms outstretched toward each other as if forming a gate. Others walk around the circle while singing or saying the Bible verse together. Then choose one child to walk up to the door-gate. Say, There was only one gate into the Tabernacle, and there is only one door into Heaven. That way is through Jesus. He is the only way to God. The door-gate opens for child to walk through. Choose other children to be the door-gate. Repeat as time allows. CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP OF EASTERN PA, INC. P.O.
