Fall Adult Education Series Andrew Davids, our Rabbinic Intern, will conduct a Fall Adult Education Series on 4 consecutive Thursday evenings, beginning on Thursday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Temple Library. The Series is entitled, "Who is God? 3,000 Years of Jewish Searching." Rabbinic Intern Davids will examine the Jewish Perspeotive o~ God from the time of the Bible through the Modern Period. If you have ever wondered what Jews really believe and why we are so hesitant to discuss our beliefs, then this is the course for you! ---------------------------------------------- Lecture/Concert Series to Celebrate Israel's 50th Anniversary The Bayonne Jewish Co unity Center, with a grant from the Hudson County Cultural & Heritage Affairs Co.mission, will be presenting a series of three lectures and ooncerts in celebration of Israel's 50th Anniversary. The first event will be held on Sunday, October 26 at Congregation B'nai Jacob. At 2:00 p.m., Judith Goldsmith will deliver a lecture entitled, "Star & Crescent: Jewish-Muslim Encounters." At 3:00 p.m., our member, Greg Wall, will present a Klezmer Concert. Many of you will remember Greg as the entertainer who performed at our Temple's Anniversary Dinner Dance. Tickets for the lecture/concert are $10.00 in advance or $15.00 at the door on the day of the event. Advanced sales are available at the Bayonne JCC or by calling the center at 436-6900. Tickets for the entire series, which will include two more lecture/concerts in the Spring are $25.00. Brochures with the entire schedule are available in the Temple or by calling the Bayonne JCC.

Temple Welcoaes New Organist Many of us have already had the pleasure of hearing and aeeting our new Teaple Organist, lain Quinn. lain, who is a nattve of Great Britain, is currently a graduate student at Juilliard and serves as the organist at an Episcopal church in New York City. lain has been playing the organ for nearly his entire life and maintains a very busy schedule of concerts throughout the world. This past summer, he performed at the Hong Kong Cultural Center, among other venues. Temple Beth-EI is truly privileged to have an organist of lain's caliber on our staff. We hope you will attend Friday night services to hear lain and met him at the Oneg Shabbat following the services. Religious School News Under the direction of our Rabbinic Intern, Andrew Davids, the students in our Religious School are busy enhancing their Jewish learning. In October, the Religious School families participated in our first Family Education Program, wh i ch included decorating the Temple's sukkah.
