conqueror QUIET TIME one- year daily devotional for children in grades 3-4 W o r d o f L i f e L o c a l C h u r c h M i n i s t r i e s

Welcome! Quiet Time is a special time that you set aside each day to read God s Word and get to know Him better. It is also an important part of Olympians, a fun Biblecentered program for kids just like you in grades 1-6! CHALLENGERS (GRADES 1-2), CONQUERORS (GRADES 3-4), and CHAMPIONS (GRADES 5-6). Just like Olympic athletes train to be the very best they can be, your Olympians coaches will help train you to be the best you can be for Jesus! The goal is to please Jesus in everything we think, say, and do! That is what Olympians is all about! 1

What You Can Look Forward To: Olympians will be the highlight of your week! Each Olympians meeting begins with a fantastic kick-off followed by fun songs, exciting games, a Bible lesson to help you grow, plus so much more! Your Olympians Coach will help you learn about the Bible, answer your questions, pray for your needs and have a fun time with you! Speaking of fun, wait until you see the Big O-vent game time! It is always a blast with lots of crazy games for you to enjoy! On top of everything else, you will make some great friends at Olympians! You won t want to miss out on the great times waiting for you at Olympians! 2

Introducing Your Quiet Time a special time that you set aside each day to read God s Word to get to know Him better and to learn how He wants you to live. During this time, God speaks to you through His Holy Word, the Bible, and you speak to God through prayer. What an adventure! As a Christian, you will find yourself growing closer to God when you set aside time everyday to have your Quiet Time. Your Quiet Time is divided into two sections. Personal Prayer Diary A place for you to write your daily or weekly prayer requests with additional spaces to write answers to your prayers. Quiet Time Activity Pages Each day has a Scripture passage for you to read with an activity to help you understand the truth from God s Word. It also includes a personal challenge or application of the Scripture to your life. All Word of Life Quiet Times use the same Scripture passages to help families share what they have learned together. A NOTE TO PARENTS Here are some tips to help your child develop the spiritual habit of having a daily Quiet Time with God. Set aside a specific time and place. Use the child s Bible to read the passage together. Talk about the activity and personal application. Write an encouraging comment to your child each week. 7

YOUR DAILY QUIET TIME Read the special Did You Know thoughts each week to learn something new! Read the Daily Scripture Passage. Complete the Train Your Brain activity for the day and then the Get Started section (in the red triangle) to apply what you learned to your life! Write down your prayer requests in your diary and spend time talking to God in prayer. 8 My Bible My Quiet Time Crayons or Markers A Quiet Place
