Hey, Fam! My prayer is that this letter finds you excited to know that State Youth Convention is coming! We learned many lessons from last year's ISYC, and are entering in to this year's convention with great plans of prayerful and powerful times of worshiping and growing in our love for God! The Word God has laid on our Youth Planning Council's heart is from Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." We feel God is challenging us to live with some mighty and clear directives out of this verse! BE STRONG. BE COURAGEOUS. BE BOLD. BE LED. I hope that you see that the Planning Council has already began praying for this verse to take root in the lives of everyone that attends ISYC, AND beyond that, the people they impact when they go home. The Kingdom sized vision here is HUGE! We challenge you to join us in praying that God defined strength, courage, boldness and service would launch out from this gathering in November and change the hearts of all generations! We also asked God to show us who would partner with us in leading this Crusade to living God's way! We are excited to have Alanna Story returning to be our lead worshippers! God has been using them in amazing ways around the globe to prepare people's hearts to become more like God's. Check out their FB page, follow them on Twitter or listen to some of their music on itunes. You won't be disappointed! Our speaker this year is Jeremy Kingsley. An amazing young man whose dynamic ability to bring the Word draws people who don't even attend the university where he speaks in chapel services from time to time to come and hear about the God he loves so much! Learn more about Jeremy and his ministry at jeremykingsley.com! He is excited to be with us and is praying for our time together! The youth planning this conference really want to do what they can to insure that students go home living out the power and direction of Deuteronomy 31:6. Our Saturday offerings are centered around our 4 "Be..." statements: BE STRONG...An opportunity for a service project on site. Sign up through Indiana Ministries starting Sept. 4. BE COURAGEOUS...This is a hands on DIY person's playroom! Come find out how to use art or gift giving to share the greatest gift ever given to us! Come create things that can be used in worship, in your youth ministries, or as gifts you can give to share your story with someone! BE BOLD...Have you ever wanted to learn how to share your story about you and Jesus with someone? Come learn how and be a part of actually getting out and doing it! BE LED...A gathering to strengthen and encourage our emerging leaders in the state of IN! If you had students who attended the gathering at IYC, be sure to encourage them to connect at this one! And if you have students who are stepping into this season of feeling called to serve in ministry, invite them to attend! We have so much to be excited about and we can't wait to be with you! Please be in prayer for our gathering and what God has planned! What we see is amazing, but what He sees is exceedingly, abundantly, above what we are hoping for dreaming of or imagining! Serving you with open hands! Kim

Special Guests Jeremy Kingsley Speaker Don t read the Bible to finish, read it to change Humility and service is the path to true greatness After being filled with an all-consuming desire to know Jesus, Jeremy made a difficult decision to give up the opportunity to play college basketball in order to attend Columbia International University and enter full-time vocational ministry. Jeremy Kingsley is a third generation minister who is passionate about knowing Christ and making Him known. A talented and creative communicator, Jeremy invites listeners to be servants, to lead from a humble position, and to live authentic Christian lives. Jeremy has written multiple articles, four books, recorded three live speaking events and founded a nonprofit, faith-based ministry called OneLife Ministries. To learn more about Jeremy, visit his website at www.jeremykingsley.com/bio. Alanna Story Worship Born into a family with a deep faith and musical heritage, Anna Hodge and Ally West had a passion for music since they were very young. As the sisters grew in their walks with God, they found music to not only be their response to the things they experienced - both painful and beautiful things - but also a tool to connect to the heart of God and help others do so as well. In addition to being original artists, the sisters also have a strong calling to lead worship. Over the years doors opened for Ally and Anna to share and lead together and in 2008 Alanna Story officially began. The band was divinely (and literally) formed into a family, comprised of Ally s husband, Stephen (electric guitar), Anna s husband, Ben (drums), and Joel Burkhead (bass), whom the girls consider a brother. Uniting incredible talent and more importantly sincere hearts for worship, the band creates a powerful, energetic atmosphere for others to encounter the presence of God. They have released two albums, Keep Breathing (2009) and Flickering Spark (2011), and have shared the stage with many national recording artists. As their territory expands, Alanna Story s main pursuit remains to love God and lead others into His presence. To learn more about Alanna Story, visit their website at http://alannastory.com/. 2012 Youth Planning Council (YPC) Want to be on the YPC 2013? Fill out the form at the end of this booklet Pictured left to right: Hannah, Taylor, Austin, Sara, Brooke, Zach, Paige and Levi Lord, Please begin to prepare the hearts of every student and counselor that will be at ISYC in November. Please continue to guide YPC in seeing your dream for ISYC. It's your will, not ours. Please be preparing the speaker and worship leader for the group of people we will have at ISYC. Let us join together as your army ready to fight for you, like Joshua in Deuteronomy. Let us run from the valley charging, ready for your will. Let us make a change for you. We love you lots! and it's in Your Name we pray, amen. - Hannah Johnson (First COG Kokomo) My prayer for the convention is that not our own words be heard but that God is able to speak through every person involved in the convention. I also pray that we are all able to keep our minds set on the real goal of it all, that we can bring even one life to Christ through all of this. - Sara Galliger (Big Lake COG Columbia City) Dear God, I thank you for ISYC and everything you are going to do this year. Please work in huge ways and impact every single person that comes. Create life change and strengthen every persons relationship with you. Be with every person that steps on the stage and speak through them. Be with every youth leader and use them in amazing ways. You're so amazing and I thank you for what you're going to do. - Austin Shaner (East Side COG Anderson) My prayer for convention is that everything goes smoothly and that everyone experiences Christ in many different ways. I pray that everyone leaves convention a step closer to the Lord! - Brooke Klein (First COG Vincennes) I pray that the lives of Indiana youth will be filled with God's presence and open to the amazing plans he has for their lives. - Paige Brooks (CitySpring Noblesville) My prayer is that this year, every student who attends State, will experience Jesus in a way they never have before. I pray that those who need healing, comfort, love, etc... will receive abundantly. I pray for walls to be broken down, hearts to be softened, and restoration. We can not and SHOULD NOT limit how Jesus can move so I pray for open hearts and minds. I just invite Jesus to come down and bring His kingdom with Him. And with whatever happens, that it all be for the glory of our God. :) - Taylor Pennycuff (Meridian COG Indy) I pray God would work in each and every single person there. Not just the students and youth, but the worship leaders, speakers, behind the scene crews, and those people we encounter during our time there. I pray God will change the heart of at least one person there, that at least one person walks away from that weekend with a changed heart, soul, and mind. I pray we as leaders will be prepared and ready to put together one of the best experiences that anyone in attendance has been to. I pray God will receive all of the glory and that we won't be tempted to take it for ourselves. I pray God will sharpen our minds and soften our hearts. I pray God will give us strength to be bold and step out in faith and never be terrified because we know that he is always with us, and will never forsake us. - Zach Scott (East Side COG Anderson)
