Kind regards Mrs Lavelle-Murphy CAREERS DAY TUESDAY 19 TH JUNE We are looking for volunteers to come in and help us with our careers day. THE ASCENSION If you have ever lost someone very dear to you, Have you noticed how they are still present In your memory, in your heart? It s as if when their body has gone Their spirit is still with you And you get to know them in a different way You might say you re in contact with the essence Of who they were as a person And now you get to know them almost in a deeper way Than when they were with you, Without the ups and downs, good days and bad days Of being with them in person. Of course, we still want them with us, But separation, at least in the body, is sadly part of life. When Mary Magdalen met the risen Jesus on Easter Sunday morning He said something to her, It sounded almost cold Do not cling to me, he said. Maybe the message here is that Jesus of Nazareth Could only have been with us for a short time. He had to return to the Father, as we all do, But the Good News is that we have his Spirit still with us, Which is like a bigger presence than any one human life can contain.
