ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI, ST. MARGARET MARY Dear Fellow Parishioners: Many thanks to all of you for your cards and good wishes for my birthday. It makes getting older a little easier. I pray that the Lord bless you for your kindness. Last Thursday, it seemed like it was raining pennies from heaven. A call came in from M+S Paving and Sealing Inc. asking if we could use a sealer application for the upper parking lot at no cost to us. I said, yes without any hesitation. They applied the sealer on Friday and we were able to use the parking lot this past weekend. This generous donation was made in memory of their father, Joseph Fradiani who died last year. May he rest in peace. Several people have asked if the old rectory for St. Francis of Assisi had yet been sold. The answer is yes and we are hoping to close on the property by the end of the week. In regard to the property behind St. Margaret Mary Church and Rectory, it has been sold. The property was jointly owned by the Archdiocesan Cemetery Association and the Parish. Our portion of the property was 19% and we were compensated with 19% of the selling price. There is still a problem with the power supply poles which will be moved and paid for by the developer. This Wednesday is the Feast of All Saints a Holyday of Obligation. I will be travelling with our pilgrims to the Holy Land, early that morning. We will pray for the intentions you have submitted until our return on November 9th. Though you cannot be with us in body, know that you are with us in spirit. I will be praying for you throughout our pilgrimage. Father Dave
