Our Habitat for Humanity Project is Underway Our parish is working on this summer s Habitat for Humanity in North Minneapolis through July 27. If you are interested in learning how you can help, please stop by the Habitat table in the narthex to pick up a registration form or contact parishioner Rick Zilka via drzand3@netscape.net. All skill levels are welcome! Why Use Contribution Envelopes? Whenever you put a contribution into the collection basket we are grateful for this sign of your support! You can make your dollars going even further by putting your check into one of the envelopes that is sent to your home each month. When you use the envelope, we can quickly scan the printed information to put the donation into your records. When you put a check in loose, however, we have to first look up your name in a database, find out if you have a pledge number, record the information from the check (in keeping with IRS rules) and then make the computer entry. Thanks for your help in saving staff time and resources by using your envelopes! More Improvements Coming! Our new sound system is scheduled to be installed in the church starting on Monday, July 17. Stay tuned for more information on our summer capital projects! Parish News Summer Choir Do you have a friend or family member who likes to sing but hasn t had the time to join our music ministry? Please encourage him or her to be a part of our Summer Choir. It will continue every Sunday until Labor Day. Singers can just show up in the music area in church (by the piano) 30 minutes before either the 9:00am or 11:00am Mass. We will provide a hymnal and music outline, and we will not ask anyone to make a commitment. All ages and abilities are welcome, including families with kids old enough to read and out-of-town visitors. If you have any questions, contact Betsy Sullivan at bsullivan@strichards.com. Adult Faith Formation Opportunity This past Lent, a small group of parishioners gathered to study Pope Francis 2015 encyclical entitled Laudato Si : On Caring For Our Common Home, in which he examines various aspects of the rupture between humans and creation, and the disproportionately negative impacts on those who are materially poor. He calls for a conversion of heart, mind, and habit to help heal these relationships and improve our collective life. In a quest to expose ourselves to more information, the 2016 National Geographic documentary film Before The Flood will be shown in our Community Room on Saturday, July 15, at 10:00am, with an informal discussion to follow. Please use the Parish Office/Blessed Trinity School entrance off of the parking lot. All are welcome!
