Page 4 Our Lady of Lourdes, Toledo, April 15, 2018 Society of St. Vincent de Paul Our Lady of Lourdes Conference A Happy and Blessed Easter Season to you from the members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Our Lady of Lourdes Conference. Now that Lent has ended and our Lenten sacrifices put behind us, we look forward to celebrating life as Resurrection people. However, there is one sacrifice that remains all year long, that is of almsgiving. The parishioners of our Lady of Lourdes have been very generous in serving the poor, as Jesus has instructed us to do, through the monthly donations to our conference. For that we are eternally grateful. March report: During the month of March our volunteers answered calls from those in need: Calls from within our parish boundaries: 5 Calls referred to other Parishes: 20 Total phone calls answered: 25 Services provided: Rent Assistance: 9 Utility Assistance: 12 Food Assistance: 7 Total family members served: 47 Referrals made to other agencies for assistance: 15 Number of home visits: 6 Those of you that have not donated in the past, we encourage you to use the envelope in your monthly packet, put a dollar or more in the monthly Charity Weekend baskets on the first weekend of each month, and/or sign-up for the Kroger rewards program (for more information on this please call Paul Conrad at 419-297-7270). May the good Lord grant you all that you ask of Him. Peace be with you! Elizabeth Ministry is again presenting our annual MOM'S TEA on April 21, 2018 in the PARISH LIFE CENTER from 11 am to 2 pm. It will be an afternoon filled with fun, food, raffles and plenty of time to spend with friends. So get your party together, make your reservations now for a special TEA. Remember, space is limited so get your RSVP in early to Peggy @ 419-865-5322. A free will offering may be made at the door. The WOW (Women of Worth) Ladies will be holding a Rummage Sale here at OLL on Saturday, May 5th from 9am-4pm in the Parish Life Center. Please contact Lisa in the Parish Office if you can volunteer!
