George Taylor was a farmer, according to census records of 1850, page 387 E.E. Barton Collection: George taylor brought his wife with him from VA on his second trip to KY. They walked the whole way. Geo. had a brother, John, who lived at Flower Creek, and opened one room of his house for a church. id. Robert Henry and Dudley were hair-(sic., hare-)lipped. George Taylor came from Stafford County after the turn of the century (1800) and opened the first school in this settlement. His father, William, had inherited Dr. Robert Taylor's estate. At the death of his father, he went to VA and brought his (William) negroes to KY. He received an annuity from the estate and at his death, the remainder was divided among his children. 3

Taylor Nancy married more than once, but other spouses names are not known. 1850 census, Pendleton Co. shows Nancy Ritchie, age 41, living with her father and mother and havinf four children, all with the last name of Ritchie. Ambrose Dudley Taylor 1850 census, Pendleton Co., shows Ambrose living with mother and father. He was age 32 and is listed as a carpenter. 1860 census lists him as a wagon maker worth $200. Also William J., 14, as an apprentice. Went to Missouri. 11
Robert Henry Taylor Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetary, Pendleton county, Kentucky According to the 1870 census, neither Robert nor Elizabeth could read or write. He was a farmer. The farm was located near Mt. Auburn. 1900 census indicates that only 8 children survived. 12
