New Pew Cards The new yellow pew cards replace the friendship register and the prayer request cards. Sunday Dinner for Missions. A Sunday Dinner will be held at Trinity on September 24 with proceeds benefiting the Central African Republic Synod (our sister synod) and the Lutheran World Relief Quilting Project. A presentation will be given by the Synod s Associate with the Bishop, Jakelle Cornell, about her 2016 visit to the Central African Republic. On the menu: BBQ pork, chicken, scored potatoes, sunshine carrots, salad, homemade rolls and pie. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available in the church office or in the Narthex today. Tickets must be purchased by this Thursday, Sept 21. Adult Catechism Class By Heart ~ Conversations with Martin Luther s Small Catechism Martin Luther wrote the Small Catechism for parents to use as instruction for children in the home. It covers the Apostles Creed, the Lord s Prayer, Baptism, Holy Communion and the 10 Commandments. Our study time will be on Sundays in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45 a.m., for seven consecutive Sundays. The Nurtured Heart Approach parenting class will be offered at Trinity Lutheran Church from 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 21 to Oct. 26. Attend to learn new techniques and strategies for creating positive behaviors, gain an ability to respond to challenging behaviors with intent and purpose, and create everyday habits that reveal the greatness in children.
