PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR SICK: FROM THE OFFICE OF WORSHIP & CHRISTIAN INITIATION-DICOESE OF CAMDEN-December 31, 2017 is the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. As a feast of Our Lord, it carries a higher rank on the calendar than the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God on January 1, 2018. Therefore, Masses on the evening of December 31st are of the Sunday, The Feast of the Holy Family. In 2018, since the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord is celebrated on January 7th, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord is transferred to the following day, Monday, January 8th, with only one reading before the Gospel. Since March 25, 2018 is Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, normally assigned to this date, is transferred to Monday, April 9th. SAVE THE DATE: The Mayor s Community Prayer Breakfast will be held on SATURDAY, JANUARY 20, 2018 at 9:00AM at the Elizabeth Ballroom, Highland Blvd. & Sylvan Ave. Sponsored by the Gloucester City Ministerium and the City s 150th Anniversary Celebration Committee. This will be the first event of the 2018 year celebration of our City s History, and there is no better way to begin this celebration then to pray and thank Almighty God. THURSDAY-JANUARY 25TH at 7:00PM at Christ the Good Shepherd (Sacred Heart Hall) 1010 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ RING IN THE SPRING ON FEBRUARY 2, 2018 If you care, please come and share some Irish fare and celebrate the feast day of St. Brigid of Kildare. She was revered by the Bishop and adorned with a Mitre. She was the most influential woman to teach Christianity in Ireland. Her strong faith, her courageous protection and sympathy for all God s creation, her large charitable heart are all Irish traits down through the centuries. If she were a woman of our times she would be a great admirable leader for all women. Written by Parishioner Anne Stiles Between St. Patrick and St. Brigid, the pillars of the Irish people, there is so great a friendship of charity that they had but one heart and one mind. Through Him and Her Christ performed many great works. Book of Armagh FIRST ANNUAL ST.
