The Men of St. Joseph are a group of men committed to living a life of conversion, integrity, and honesty, acting as a witness for Jesus Christ in daily life. With prayer, coffee and discussion, the men of this ministry aim to emulate St. Joseph and become better husbands, fathers, sons and brothers. Meetings are held the first Saturday of the month in the parish hall at. Did you know that the Christmas season did not end on December 25th? The season concludes with the Baptism of the Lord on January 8, 2018. Our Epiphany Pageant and breakfast on January 7th is our parish celebration and Christmas Party. All are invited to attend. Over the winter months, the Prayer Shawl Ministry is collecting new, handmade hats to be given out at the parish Community Dinners to those in need. All handmade hats are welcome! Baskets for hat donations are now at the entrances of all the churches. Hats remaining at the end of the season will be donated to The Haven in White River Junction. Catholic Moms is open to all moms of any stage or season- and even spiritual mothers. Our mission is encouragement, prayer and spiritual growth in our vocation as mothers. Faith in Action Ministry and Faith Formation have partnered to host our Annual Parish Baby Shower benefiting Good Beginnings of the Upper Valley and Pregnancy Center of the Upper Valley. Bring your new unwrapped gifts to the shower or drop them in the collection baskets at the entrances of the church any time between January 14th and January 21st. As a parish community that respects and responds to the value of human life in all of its stages, this is an opportunity to show our support to these two local organizations. Information about each organization is listed below. Good Beginnings of the Upper Valley is a free, home-visitor program that relies on trained volunteers to provide support to any family with a new baby based on the concept that any family with a new baby can use a helping hand. They also provide community awareness events, nutrition for children, assistance with rent and electric bills, and purchases of diapers, clothing, strollers, cribs, high chairs and heating fuel. All services are free of charge to all families. Good Beginnings wish list: *Baby board books, such as Goodnight Moon, Diapers size Newborn or 1, Wipes, Baby wash, Baby shampoo, Crib sheets, Receiving blankets, Gift cards to any local food store, for gasoline, or to Walmart or Kmart. Pregnancy Center of the Upper Valley offers all free services for: Pregnancy Testing and Options Information, Practical Support for Pregnancy, Peer Counseling for new and expectant moms, Relationship Building Classes, Abstinence Education, Recovery Programs to bring emotional healing and spiritual reconciliation to men and women suffering after an abortion experience and/or sexual transgression.
